Trust me, I didn't miss Insomnia. It was more sizzle than steak.. A lot of ugly Australian chicks and a few good looking locals. Again, these are not P4P options though. Great food outside afterward!

Fact remains, there are some great places in Thailand. You just gotta find them. Admittedly, a lot of the main-street sex area joints are ripoffs, but with a little befriending of the locals, a careful conversation with a doorman at a decent hotel (even if you don't stay there), or a conversation over a beer in a bar, you'll find some really good experiences. As with everything, you gotta put the effort in to get something good out...

The best advice anyone ever gave me when arriving at a country for the first time was hang around for a couple of days in the hotel bar, make friends with the bartender and the ex-pats who frequent the place, and learn what you can. The ex-pats know the best places, and the bartender can usually hook you up with a taxi driver or friend who will negotiate for you. Miss those days

I enjoyed Thai ladies more than the Japanese - mostly the attitude difference. For those that can't relate the prices - one room with one girl for 1 hour = 550 baht is equivalent to ~ $18 CDN. 2 girls /one hour = ~ $25 CDN. I'm guessing you could end up extremely pleased for another $20-$30 CDN tip.

BTW: A soapy massage is like a body slide here but with both of you covered in warm soapy water. You shouldn't leave Thailand without experiencing one. Oh how I miss those !

Soapy massages are a staple there, and there's a website of the same name with videos, kinda like the Nuru video site. I much prefer Nuru, but given the choice between soap or oil, I'll take the soap
