Massage therapy/getting a massage for the first time?

I'm considering becoming a massage therapist because I think it would be a very rewarding career. However, I have 2 problems.
A.) I've never had a massage & B.) I'm really tiny

I'm going to get a massage in the next couple days and I'm kind of nervous. Can someone tell me the procedure or and what EXACTLY happens? (Do I take off my clothes? How do I get on the table correctly? etc.)

Also I'm not even 90lbs and my mom thinks massage therapy is too strenuous for me, do you think she is right?
