My session was the same, 40+ min of massaging my neck and arms, no teasing. On the flip straight to the HE , wipe down with a towel, started the shower and out the door. Not a repeat for me.

Not just XP but any semi legit or legit place where extracurricular activities develop, I leave the tip (minus 20) in the room, preferably with communication so they know it’s there. And at the front desk pay the massage fee plus the $20 balance of the tip. Especially if the place is legit to semi legit with owner rules in place it ensures that the therapist is not compromised. Whether owner, manager, other masseuses know or not is not important, it gives the masseuse more confidence that privately shared activities will remain private. And that the size of the tip will not give away information on whatever might have transpired in the room.

Do the girls at XP have assigned rooms? When I saw Jiarli a second time, it was in a different room than the first time she came out of a third room down the hall. If the girls simply work random rooms, I hesitate to leave money or envelope on the bed without telling them first. I simply prefer it like where the girl would greet me again after I got dressed, settle the account before we both walk out. Also, Linda always had that stern head inquisitor death glare on her when I said, no insurance, cash. Normally, I prefer to hand the bills over one at a time so if the provider wants more, she can signal it; the second time I saw Jiarli and she didn't wait for me, I rolled everything up into a roll and stuffed in in the her hand on the way out without saying a word to Linda. Then it is up to Jiarli to settle with LInda for me.

All I am going to say about Jiarli's services is that Jiarli is like a public library, many services are free but you have to ask for them nicely and the librarian has to like you enough. Yes, I did use the word "free" as it is entirely up to you whether to tip the librarian afterwards or not.

I'm not really sure, but I think they have "preferred" rooms. They each have their preferred room and use it if it is available. If they get real busy and somebody has an appointment with X and the only room available is 'Y's' room, they go there. Then, shortly after, Z is finished with her client and they get a walk-in where Y will take him to Z's room.

I try to make my appointments in the mornings when they aren't too busy. When I book with X she always takes me to the same room.

I always fold the money nicely and discretely give it to the girl. Even if Linda is nearby, its impossible for her to tell what it is, because the girls just quickly tuck it into a pocket.

As for the rooms, they have preferred rooms, but if they doing a back to back, and the first customer isn't done yet, they will set you up in a different room.

Certain customers also ask for specific rooms to in advance, so they will accommodate those first.

One generic point re tips in a semi legit, best if the manager owner are kept in the dark about the exact amounts. Let the masseuse decide what info she wants to share or not with her bosses or colleagues. This is not particularly necessary for XP but will apply to many of the other places in Edmonton or Calgary. Greedy managers, owners and jealous colleagues can create challenges for the best masseuses.
