Maybe I missed it but I can't remember why you are sending her money. Is there a reason you are sending her money? I understand you like her and want to spend more time with her and everything but why are you sending her money? I mean she comes from a good family and she earns good money so she doesn't really need the money you are sending so why send it?

So what has the BG reaction been to you sending her the money? Was the amount sent what she requested?

Regarding accessing personal details of BGs, when I was adding my own telephone number to a BGs mobile recently, I happened to notice the amount of potential 'farangs' numbers already stored in the memory - quite easy to spot through all the Country codes +44, +01 etc...

Definately quelled any thoughts of there being anything serious to come from the brief relationship that I had with this BG - but like yourself, I had some fun and probably now think - "what happens in LOS, stays in LOS".

Otherwise, keep us all informed of any developments in your story/quest.

El Piton, A lot of us, early on, have been through this process.

Over time and subsequent visits you will develop a thicker skin and a more finely tuned BS detector, then you will realise just how frequent this scenario is.

Most of all, in the long run nobody really wins. The girl will move on to the next target and you will look back perhaps with a wistful smile through the life experience gained or bitterly because she is so good that she has taken you for much more than you feel comfortable giving.

Tread very warily on this path. Otherwise you will be toasted.

A very good analogy... El... I am getting a little worried about you now. You seemed to have recovered from the initial trauma, but I was wrong. You are putting yourself emotionally at risk... and what happens if you start this girl on the road to redemption and then pull the plug when she is halfway through her nursing course? Just because you found another suspicious email? It may seem like an exciting little game now... but if you want to know her true feelings... stop the money and get to know her better... surely Private Dancer taught you more than this???

By the way... a lot of the BMs giving you advice here are in long term, solid relationships with ex bar girls... so they know what they are talking about...

Like Waharoa I am also getting a tad worried. I worry that you are caught up in the voyeurism of looking into a young girls e-mails and conversations. Her life is laid bare in an intimate way that she probably had no idea you could access. You can view her past and yet she knows little or nothing about you. That you have created a world for her whereby she can be free of the life she currently leads, but under your terms and conditions. I worry what kind of life you have suggested might be available to her if she tows the line. All the while you could be just trawling for ideas for a new book.

By all means have fun with your girl, she may or may not prove to be a diamond. But don’t lead her up a path purely for your own amusement or job fulfilment.

BM’s might have an attitude that TG’s are as hard as nails. But who can blame them when their past is probably littered with men who promised so much and in the end were in it for what they could get.

yep but they are living here building a life together based on trust and love on a daily basis.....almost impossible to do from another country after a first visit with someone you've just met and only spent a few days with....

and for every one of them I see about 10 that fail

Props for being well written and entertaining. But IMO just another of hundreds of posts from those being sucked in by a BG and trying to justify/rationalize it (to themselves) by thinking "it may be useful to newbies". (Yawn...)

Just another same old story:
BM meets BG.
BG charms pants off BM.
BM now smitten with BG.
BG knows time now ripe to con money from BM.
BM feels money is worth it because "small perceneforum.xxxe of income" or some other lame excuse.
BM goes home.
BG entertains next in line (the very next night).
Start again from beginning ad nauseam.

Nothing new here. Just a matter of how many times you need to hear the same old lines before you realize they're the same old lines. Yep... call me a cynic, skeptic, whatever. Better yet, call me a realist.

With all respect to Khun Piton, you're beating your head against the wall. Maybe your next exploit can be to psycho-analyze the Nigerian scam or the Polish Lottery ($1/year for a million years).

If this girl really has aspirations to go to bkk to study to be a nurse, and you play a vital part, through sponsorship, surely she would have a back-up plan, if it was that important to her ...why would she rely on you to be the deciding factor on her path through life.

if she doesn't have a back-up plan, she could be out there looking for one. if she finds a few back-up plans, she might realise that she can make more cash having multiple back-up plans rather than actually being a nurse!

A quick google search tells me that thai tax is 40% on earnings over 30,000 baht per annum if you're employed. Pretty steep deduction as opposed to your nice tax free payments. Just a thought.

Income up to 150,000b p/a is tax free, then 10% up to 350,000b assessable income, and so on. 37% tax rate kicks in over 4,000,000b.

Apologies for steering this thread towards matters of a financial nature -occupational hazard. No judging intended, so lets move on from that.

Excellent read EP! Compelling story and very well written - and it reminds me a bit of mine at my first visit in Patong some 8 years ago which I spent with only one girl. And the weeks after my vacation. Back then in the early 00s it was an IT college that my Noi wanted to join.
I did not have the resources to sponsor her - God knows I would have had I been financially more comfortable.

And it reminds me of the eMails I got up to 3 weeks ago from the my LT I had this February. She was also planning on going into the health business. There was also talk about coming to Austria to work:" I not want live from you money. I want be with you and send money home for my parents. They take care of my son."

Needless to say that I did not give in to the demanded 20.000 Bath/ month for the school. That also was the end of our frequent eMail contacts.

But I hold not grudge against the girls - they only do what they do best - separate us from our money for their own well being. And they do it in a pleasant way when we are down there and hope to continue when we're gone. Why not. Sometime it pays off.

And I will be back, spend more money. Fall in lust/love again, will be tempted again until I finally get hooked and end up wanting to spend the rest of my live with one of them. That's how it's going to end.
