This was a thread on scorps

The subject of No-show was on scorps and TBD and had me thinking with considering the amount of inquiries I get a week versus the amount of the actual confirmed appointments is like night and day.
For me a N0-show is when a client sets up a pre-arranged time to meet....who, what, when..where must be arranged and confirmed.
If a client says to me I am interested in meeting tomorrow during work day...I will call you. = IS NOT AN APPOINTMENT
If a client says to me that he can definitely meet tomorrow in Romulus at 1pm for one hour possibly two. And also he will call by 8:30am prior to the appointment to confirm. Then I am reserving that time for him and IT IS A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT.
If he calls and says Yes will meet at 1pm for only 1 hour in Romlus. IT IS AN APPOINTMENT
If he no call is made at 8:30 or at all during the day...NO APPOINTMENT!
If he does not make it at 1pm without a phone call...IT IS A NO SHOW
This is how I interrupt an appointment. I know a few girls that whenever a guy calls for interest and possibly wants to meet at a time for some girls they assume they have an appointment and when the guy doesn't show or call they are upset and labeling him as a NO-Show.
Unfortunately, for the hobbyist in the scorps post he was turned down for an appointment by one of the ladies because one of his references said he was a No-show when he said he would just call the next day for his appointment. So, because one misunderstanding led the provider seeking a reference to not approve him. Three other providers would have gladly given him a great reference.
I thought bad references consisted of not paying or being abusive to the providers. I guess not if some providers are relying heavily on very few contacts they have and equating them with appointments. ?
I would stress to the gentlemen to make themselves very clear and follow through with plenty of communication. At times the providers do get busy and overwhelmed with requests and appointments and trying to keep everyone straight.
