Well ignoring that hollow threat from Steveewoz, time to get back to the evenings delights.
We cruised into Karon, lights on, music blaring, singing our favourite Lala songs, you know the ones that get the girls-a-tingling. I had put Loo in the front of the car as he seemed to be the only one who knew roughly where the new bar soi was and Cha Cha Bars location. We thought we were close and as we were by now gasping for our first beer of the night just decided to stop, as we saw a sort of muddy car park, which seemed like a good place to park the car for the night.
We strode up the street, like men on a mission, EB lagging behind, but he keeps bringing that walking stick with him, using the old, can't walk very well ruse which he reckons works well on the BG's, didn't work on us because we were now possessed by the call of the Tiger, Sing, Chang, who cares as long as its light brown and cold. When we couldn't walk any further, we had covered about 50yards by now at a good pace, we decided to just turn into a soi and get a beer. Quite by chance up ahead we saw Cha Cha Bar sign, well there's lucky!!!
Met up with Speccy and his lovely girlfriend, oops forgot her name again!! but at least remembered her face. Nice little bar, very loud music, but there again it was party time and we wouldn't have wanted it any quieter. Rounded up enough stools and ganged up outside the bar but within a respectable distance from the BBQ grub, well we had just walked 50 yards and none of us are as young as we used to be, so we were not straying to far from it.
Great night, loads of beers, loads of shots, I didn't have any shots as I was supposedly driving, Dunc drown down quite a few and then later when we went to leave he drove home??? nope even I didn't get that one but reckoned as he has no licence, he's got nothing to loose!! It was Denver's birthday, so I arrange with Speccy gf to get some champagne and a cake, she asked if I wanted his name on it, and I thought its 11pm where is a cake shop going to be open to do that at this time?? 15 minutes later we were all singing happy birthday, Denver blowing out the candles on his cake with 'Happy Birthday Denver' perfectly spelt and nicely done, thanks Specster's GF, but 11pm??
Little bit later we wandered down to the main road in Karon and hit a few of the bars, much fun was had, the girls were very lively and friendly, they'd not heard about us before and of course we were all first time holidaymakers!! As I said, Duncs drove home, with his bg in the car, only I didn't know that and was chatting to her all the way to Lala, thinking she was Oli's gf?? we stopped at Bangla to pick up Oli's gf, still didn't notice, maybe I'd had a few??
Evilbaz got out the car, fell over, (he really is taking this walking stick stuff to seriously or maybe its an actor thing, where they cannot stop themselves, shouldn't make fun really as he cut his arm and Mark had to patch him up in the bar) Denver & Loo jumped out to go with them, and promptly jumped back in, not that I noticed that manouver either!! Well I was inside the car and staring quite open mouthed at this little beauty walking down Beach Road with her younger sisters shorts on, either that or she had washed them on Tempo 7 and they'd shrunk three sizes.
Woke the following day, a whole load of stuff to get done and then round Marks for another BBQ/Pizza evening, got to remind myself to stop this malarky soonishish.....
