Back to the thread. My bar has never been so busy, plenty of good fella's from all over the world passing through Chiang Mai this week.
Girls here charge between 1000 and 3000 ST depending on how yummy they look. . FYI they all taste the same in the dark.
Changing drink or BF prices up or down seems to have no effect on business at all...
Being a happy bar pumping out any music, as long as it's loud seems to be way more important.:^^:
I tried being a quiet bar, no chance.

A couple of years ago you would have really struggled to find a 50 baht beer in Patong unless the idea of sitting outside a small Thai shop with a plastic table and chairs appealed. Now 50 and 60 baht beers can be easily found on Soi Bangla, as well as many other places all over the town. Contrast that with the relentless upward march of the lady drink prices with, get this, 170 baht seeming to be the Bangla norm! We moan and groan about 130 - 150 baht in Bangkok but that is even worse. Is it any wonder why the girls sit drinkless hour after hour? Maybe that helps explain why many of the most attractive girls are freelancing. As one long-term reader put it to me, you can have a drink with Miss Thailand in a late night joint for 120 baht, or her mother or even grandmother in a beer bar for 170.

We all know that Patts is cheaper than Patong, but It seems Bkk well outstrips Patong in ST and LT prices, and as mentioned above, for beer too.

I will be in BKK, Patts, and Cambodia in march. I hope to get something as cheap as 1000 for LT. But I don't hold out much hope, except for street girls. Do any of you know where to find street girls in BKK?

Good news is that the bar owners, BG's and landlords had the annual price meeting last night.

All beer will now be 45Bht before 11 and 55 after.

Bar fine will be standardised at 200bht

Short time will be 500bht (+mb taxi fare)

Long time will be 850bht (+mb taxi)

Prezzies and gold for the BG will be up to you.

All prices take effect as from 10pm tonight.

Just walk down Sukhumvit in the evening. Esp. between Soi 19 and Soi 5. They are there standing against the buildings making eyes at you as you go by.

Also at closing time, on the sidewalk in front of and across the street from Nana Plaza, there are loads of them. Watch out for the LBs! 5555.... And don't expect to get more than ST for 1000.

hmmmm.........was sat at the best seat in Coyotees Agogo in Patts a few weeks back drinking 60bht beers from midnight until 2am closing....place was virtually deserted which I found strange considering it was late january and this place would normally be full without the cheap drinks at that time of year and night....

gals still seemed about the same quality as last time too...only problem was the gal I liked was bht800 BF at 1.40am when the joint closes at 2.am.....mamasan wouldn't budge on my offer of bht500so we had a chat after her last pole dance and came to an agreement for me to wait for her just outside at the foodstall......feck them for asking 800bht

needless to say she got her asking price of 2K (+ a 500bht tip).....as she was a great gal and she looked after me....makes me wonder why more gals don't look for the angle to put the BF in their own pocket...greedy sons of beeches these gogo mamasans
