My opinion, for what it is worth, if you have something good with a MPA keep it going.



I know how you feel, I was in a similar position, it was something to be cherished. On a cautionary note her comfort zone will probably be emotional as well as physical - pushing on either could spell disaster.

Enjoy what you have whilst you have it, believe me you will miss it if it ever goes. Best of Luck

I am happy in one regard.... in that I try and treat my MPA like gold, because I am truely lucky to be with her. SO that I am very very happy about. She deserves to be treated well. I consider our time together to be really special.


On the other hand, my first intinution about my ex-girl's live in was wrong.
He apparently has bought our story. Well I ran into him, and this guy was so nice to me and so grateful. I got them out of a jam, I thought it was no big deal but very important to them.

Well, I really seriously believe in treating people well, into treating others as you want yourself teated. I really do not like going behind someone's back like this.

I think you have to sometimes trust your inner feelings... being with my MPA just feels perfect, right. The other situation has made me uneasy.


I don't know if this will help anyone else, but I hope by telling this it may.

Received lots of good advice.... better lay some back from life's experiences.

1. My old girl-friend.... she confided there is no sex life with her present guy. I have to be honest, I think she wants to head to something more serious. I have just tried to be there as a friend but kind of keep my distance too. With her present situation, I do not want to be the one responsible of busting up her relationship. I did more or less tell her of my other situation without some details. She understands that somehow, I think. From a friend perspective, I do not think she had too big a problem with with it. I thought before telling her, if she really is my friend she will understand. She seems to have.

2. No one answered my question - is a long mental relationship a worse form of cheating than physical. I know the answer now... it is tons worse. You talk all the time, you share every last little thing, it is like you really get into each other.

3. MPA - have no plans to stop seeing her at all. Our time together could not possibly be better. I really feel good about seeing her, like it is the right thing to do, and she is special, like no one else.

So here is what I will do: Treat my MPA as nice as I possibly can. Just be nice and do not pressure. After 10 or 20 years, she will break down, and we will run away together!

I have come to the realization that if I were to continue along with the old girlfriend that I would go on a downhill slide rather than an uphill path.

If you ever get in such a situation, you have to really take a step backwards. I confess I honestly knew that when things started up again that good could not come from it.

I suppose I felt some kind of responsibility because of our past. I am glad I stepped back, because she is ultimately responsible for her life.
