So, I sent a text around 8:45 AM Friday morning politely requesting a 90 minute session beginning at 10:00 am, when they open. I also specifically asked for an attendant with strong massage skills. I live in Niagara and thus have to travel about 40 minutes along the QEW to Burlington, so I usually make appointments to avoid disappointment.
Initial TCB text skills did not fill me with confidence (just a simple “OK” reply and no answers to my other questions). But I forged ahead and made the trip, arriving about 9:45 to find the “Open” sign lit up, so in I walked in with middling expectations but an open mind.
A very nicely dressed Asian woman (around 35?) with a stylish pixie hair cut greeted me with a smile and confirmed that I was the guy with an appointment. She spoke excellent English and was more than pleasant and engaging. I didn’t pursue conversation with her — my attitude is “it’s not MY business, so the onus is on YOU to make the customer feel comfortable and welcome.” She achieved the goal. B+ for the meet ‘n greet.
She led me to a room (I think there were 4-5 in total) which was equipped with a sink and a sparkling clean walk-in shower. That’s a BIG plus for me. Also, there were a more than adequate number of clothing hooks on the back of the door. Am I the only one who gets mildly irritated when there’s nowhere to properly hang the layers of winter clothing we all often wear?
Anyway, I disrobed, showered, and was VERY happy to find that the massage table was quite wide and there was plenty of space for the attendant at both ends and each side. Look, I’m not some massive dude, but I’m 6’2”/210, and narrow little tables with no room for the attendant don’t cut it for me and always make me think, “what were you thinking? Couldn’t bring yourself to spend a bit more for decent-size tables?”
So the room and amenities get a solid A from me. My only criticism is the lack of a chair for the client (there is only one of those backless stools on wheels for the attendant to use).
Moving along … 2-3 minutes after I showered and hopped on the table, a girl knocked lightly on the door and asked if I was ready before she came in.
Her name is Cassie. The first thing I noticed was that she, like the woman who greeted me at the entrance, was very nicely dressed. Black skirt hemmed at mid-thigh, fashionable sleeveless tube top covering a nice set of perky B’s. Freshly styled shoulder-length hair, makeup done. No Covid mask. Just a lovely, elegant woman, about 35ish, maybe 5’4”/120. Wore flats, not heels. We live in a massage parlour world where the girls typically wear yoga pants/t-shirt, so this was a welcome change.
Cassie’s massage was truly excellent. That is always THE most important part of a session for me. Can’t stress this enough — you can give me a session with the hottest young attendant in the Golden Horseshoe, but I won’t go out of my way to see her a second time unless she also provides an A-1 massage. Obviously, the hypothetical “perfect attendant” combines the two, but such girls are awfully hard to find. Where does Cassie rank? Looks (a very gentle face and slender body) get a solid 8. The massage gets a 9. For perspective, I’ve been hobbying about once per week for 40 years now, so I’ve had somewhere in the neighbourhood of 2000 sessions, probably 80% with “one and done” girls. There’s a “Top 20” (most long ago retired) of total unicorns, and then a group of about 100 or so girls who provided excellent, “I’ll definitely come see you again” sessions. That’s the group Cassie fits into. It’s very good.
The first 45 or so minutes was draped, the next 30 minutes was undraped and with massage oil. Cassie found all the knots and skillfully loosened them. We didn’t talk much and I told her that my silence meant I was very happy with her work. I must have said “Good girl!” ten times, and she always answered with “thank you” or “I’m glad you are happy.”
I complimented Cassie’s technique and learned that she was massage trained in China (that’s not unusual, as most people reading this know). Her English-language speaking ability is quite high (8.5/10). I didn’t pry into the details about the spa, but she told me that her friend owned it and that she travelled from Richmond Hill on Wednesdays and Fridays to help her out. Apparently, 4-5 other girls are also helping out their friend (I presume she is the woman who greeted me at the entryway).
The finish? Full disclosure: I asked Cassie if she wanted me to post a review, and she said “yes,” but requested that I not provide a highly detailed description of the — ahem — playful elements. So I’ll simply state that the last 15 minutes of our time together included a skilful, tenderly delivered conclusion worthy of a sincere compliment. If you wish additional information, send a private message.
Door fee damage for the 90-minute session was $100, and I tipped Cassie $80. I got the whole 90 minutes, plus time for a shower at the beginning and another at the end. We never had a financial discussion, but I did leave the tip at the beginning of the session, so she knew how much she was getting.
Recommend? Yes. I will repeat. As always, ymmv.
