Sadly....... a bad review of Studio B.

Yesterday I called in the evening and booked an appointment at Studio B. The girl on the phone (Kristy) said that both her and Jennifer would be available at the time I was coming and I could choose between them.

I arrived at the exact time that was agreed upon and when I opened the door to go up the stairs, I saw one of the girls closing the upstairs door and placing a sign out saying that they were busy. I ran up the stairs and rang the doorbell several times but no answer. I could here the girls talking and walking around behind the door and it was like what the fuck!!

I don't understand how an appointment can be made and I get screwed after driving 40 minutes to Studio B! I think Ginger has got to set these girls straight about appointments because while I think the girls are amazing, this lack of customer service is quite horrible. I was hoping Ginger can say something about their policies regarding appointments being made.

I'm not sure if that's what I'm looking for. I just don't want to drive 30-40 minutes to a MP wondering if an agreed appoinment will actually stick. I think I'd feel better if there was a lounge to wait in but Studio B does not have the facilities. Don't get me wrong: Victoria, Kelly, Katie are among the best MPAs in the city IMHO but what's the point if an appointment can't be honoured....

Ahhh... the old sign in the door. That place really needs a waiting room and an extra room or two. I've come face to face with the infamous sign many times- but it is just one of those things that will probably never change. That place is just way too busy and i know a lot of mpas that don't hold appts for people they don't know because often they don't show up. It sucks to have to drive out all that way- but ringing the bell when the sign is up, man i hate when i'm in a session and someone keeps doing that (the sign must be up for a reason). Better luck next time.

Well it was merely seconds after the girl had put the sign out that I got up the stairs and rang the bell so she could have at least opened the door and said something to me. Maybe "sorry but appointments don't mean squat here".

Anyways, I don't think I'll be going back to SB or SC for that matter until they fix their appointment policy. They should have a 'customer must call 15 minutes before the appt' policy or something.

I'm surprised that Ginger has yet to address my concern. I also PM'd her. Does she respond quickly usually guys?

She may not monitor things on an hourly basis.

She might well be away for the weekend, and not have Internet access for Gasp! as much as two days! Imagine that!!!

Chill out for a while, and assume she won't see your messages 'til at least Monday.

If you start calling hourly to leave increasingly frantic messages, she'll rightly think you're an obsessed idiot that she doesn't want as a customer, because you're liable to also stalk the girls.

In any case, it sounds like you're not a good candidate to be a Studio B customer, because it is a "crapshoot" whether you'll get your session anywhere near on time or not. You need better assurance than that to justify a drive from Mississauga, and you simply won't get that assurance.

You might want to check out the other "satellite locations," such as Santa Clara, at Dufferin and St Clair, or Lexa Studio, in Etobicoke. They are considerably nearer to Mississauga, and apparently have waiting rooms in case you should need to wait.

These things happen in our hobby, the problem is a lot of guys make an appointment and do not show up.

This is the chance you take.

In my opinion Ginger does not owe you an explanation.

in my opinion, in situations like this, the guy should go talk to the owner or call the owner for an explanation.

No comment to me means guilty most of the time.

I dont want an explanation from Ginger really but I wanted her to be aware of the situation and how she might improve the place from a client's point of view.

Don't get wrong guys - Studio B has hot ladies and the service is great (once you are able to get inside that is!)...

you probably should have picked a specific girl rather than just leave it that you would decide when you got there. I'm not sure that the arrangement that you made constitutes an offical appointment (i.e. what are they both supposed to pass walk in clients up while they wait 40 minutes for you to get there so that you can your mind up). I'm pretty sure no spa would honor that loose kind of commitment.

My apologies for the delay...of course I would try to address your message as best I can but, I'm not always around my computer and well, sometimes I just need a day or two to 'think' about whatever the matter may be.

Many of you have already experienced some appointment fustration at SB and believe me, I'm never happy reading about it. However, if I were to post a message for every no-show...

I think Rockyroad said it best in his response and all that I could do at this point is apologize to you. One of the primary reasons for hiring the same ladies at Santa Clara and Lexa was to alleviate some of the traffic at SB and I think for some, it's helped. The ladies try their best with appointments given the high rate of no-shows, but definitely, the owners will speak with them yet again .

Studio B and it's affiliate locations are officially off my list of MPs to visit. Too much risk in the appointment situation and it seems that the owners are not interested in building client service and loyalty but rather to get whomever in the door no matter what happens to other customers.

Sorry that this sounds like a bit of a slam but the response I've received from the owners is horrible.

Sounds good- maybe you should stay away from the studio b chain- even one less client will lower my chances of coming face to face with the "sorry we are busy sign". Let's face it- this sort of thing happens a lot in our hobby and based on your post- you did not even have an appt if you didn't select a girl and make a solid time. I guess Ginger didn't give you the free session you were looking for, eh?
