Im not intending to stray off the beaten track and only frequent a few clubs like the KamaSutra, Velvet Cleopatra etc - Most people report having a good time in here - the vast majority without any problem.

If i think its a rip off then i can easily turn from sex tourist to normal tourist and i will still enjoy my stay. Again i will only take out enough money that i can afford to lose.

As previously stated i am concerned about the taxis - but im learning some streets so will get dropped off near the clubs and not at their doorstep plus i love to walk.

Sorry i not PM you, but i believe such matters should be discussed in the open.

I hope I can also return the favour by showing you around in Bulgaria. Sofia (along with most of the big cities and resorts here) is no more than my playground, since I frequent the night scene and know all the inns and outs of the go-go bars, appartment clubs and "non-professional" establishments. I'm a Bulgarian writer (I also write in English) in my late twenties and it's in such places where I find my inspiration.

And if we don't get to meet, please beware. It's best if you find a local guide that you can trust. The Bulgarian scene is still a very good bang-for-your-buck, but you have to know where to look and who to ask. The prices cited (35/65 Euro an hour) are for locals, and usually get doubled, tripled and worse if you're a foreigner without local connection/companion. There is also much worse. Some places that cater only to foreigners officially rob them of all their money not only through monstrous prices, but through outright physical assault. Most of the taxi drivers will take you to one of these places no matter what your wish was - and will also charge you 20 times their "local price". I'm talking very personal experience here, since some of my friends from this forum that visited Bulgaria had various misfortunes when they ventured out on their own.

Yes. It may now turn into a main tourist destination as now all the budget airlines fly there - I suspect this has something to do with there entry into the EU. Bucharest is also easily reachable now - I may visit there next..

Unfortunately it will become a target for british stag weekends if it has good sex clubs. Hopefully that has not started yet.

I was going to PM you to ask you to comment, as usual your report was very good, and at the time you thought it was really good there.

I was going to go for an apartment too, but at least at the Rodina there is alot of activities in case things are a bit slack. Im sure it will be business as usual at the least the day after boxing day so should have a few good nights.

Recently Bulgaria has entered the EU so now its easier to get to Sofia and also very easy for the girls to leave and ply there trade elsewhere. I would say more recent reports are less encouraging of those of a few years back - where everyone seemed to agree it was a pussy paradise - 100 lev is not bad for a hour.

But my experience in Varna with the Working girls was not one I can really recommend and again the girls were so cold in the apartments of Varna.
Can Sofia be any different from the girls there? else im already got some experience in the scene there.

Is the Magura club in Golden Sands different too the clubs of Sofia?

Good to see the ball rolling.
I found the taxi drivers generally OK so don't worry too much about that. I'm sure we have experienced a lot worse during our stints to the Far East!
One thing I forgot to mention is that in Bulgaria a nod generally means 'NO' and the shaking of the head means 'Yes.' And Yes it can be confusing.
And the local Beer is dirt cheap and very nice.

I have never had problem with taxi, they have all been very helpful.
I did also ask a girl at the stipclub at hotel Rodian, she just look odd at me I never put my feet there again.
WHen i was there was a brothel (club Anakonda) just at the other side of the street of hotel Rodian. I did look up two pretty girls there.
The only places i have had porblem find English specking have been in Ukraine and Russia. I think the bigger a country is the less people need speck english

iv gone for the Rodina as it has lots of facilities, indoor heated swimming pool, massage gym etc bars and a club(that to be avoided by all accounts)
no doubt get chattin with some other people in there.
Feel a bit isolated in an apartment.

At Maria Louiza Bl and near you will find most hotels.
If you like big cheap hotel Rodina is a ok. When i was there i only saw business men.
I better like family hotels and meet some i can have fun with.
