Roger, I read an article in the Phuket Gazette a few months ago & it said that Phuket had entered into some "Sister City" agreement with some Russian town.
I thought after reading that..........it'd only be a matter of time. :thumbsdow

About 2 years ago I spent a holiday on Lembongan Island (just off the coast of Bali), and there where quite a few Russians too. Not in the p4p business, but just as tourist. I noticed that they behaved very rude at the service personel and were disliked very much by the locals. Also because they didn't give tips, whereas it is common to do in Russia. The body guards were all over the place as well.

Although I work a lot with Russians (like it) and I come there on a regular base, I was happy to see them all leave. After they left the general atmosphere improved big time.

I agree wholeheartedly.
The last thing Phuket needs is the Russian mafia.
I for one will definitely not be visiting any place that has any Russian connection.
I reckon that any money brought into Patong etc. by Russians is "mafia"
money.
And no, i don't have anything against Russians.

Was in Soi Easy last night. Centre bars still being refurbished and the places around the sides that have been refurbished were dead. New Toilets are OK though. The Wave closed at present. Even with the place being revamped if they don't advertise outside no one is aware that the bars are under Dragon. If the Russians and their attitudes do come I will simply avoid those locations.

Was in there tonite- yes its 330 now but son nam na. Band was quite good if you Mau but needs a bit of practice if you not!! tis nice to hear a live band for a change instead of the heppy Birdy song-we'll see how it works out.

was there thursday night. They had a band playing for part of the evening. Then about 10 of the go go girls from upstairs did a dance show. After that was a show done with a ladyboy lipsinking and four thai men dancing, a good quality performance. Once they get a better band, soi easy will be a great place to go.

I spoke to a BM the other day, he told me he found the bars under Dragon. He have been to both Patong and Dragon before but had no clue it was a soi of bars there.
