Gents, hey...

Firstly, impressive work on the forum/community... It's a great source of info and been really helpful so far, so, em, cheers!

I'm all booked up to get married in Lanta next April and have got approval to have the seforum.xxx Phuket...

Have been a few times before but always with a bird, so i havent explored the, erm, rowdier aspects of the island!

Was initially thinking of just renting a 10 bed villa, house party, waitresses, etc but it was working out too dear ($2k a night?!)

So, now we're thinking of doing something during the day and then hitting patong at night... So its fishing or whitewater rafting during the day and then somewhere round Bangla...

Question is, can we arrange an area in Famous pretty easily? Will they be alright letting in 20 odd Irish, British and Aussie lads if pre organised (mainly 25-35 age group bar my old man and her old man - their both pretty relaxed thou!)? Is it expensive there? Also, soap shows, can we do one before/after? Where would you recommend going for one?

Also, what's your thoughts? Are we missing a trick? Any other suggestions for the day? Is the rafting/quaffing worth the efforts??

At the mo it's rafting during the day, beers from 8 at some beach bar, maybe towards Kalim, somewhere with a view, then soap show at 11, famous by 1

What's the experts view?!

I did my - so far - last seforum.xxx night in Phuket three years ago. Didn't organize anything, just hit Bangla and the fun starts. The most fun we had was in Suzy Wong's, and I think a gogo bar should certainly be on your list for the night.

Go to Christins for a soapie at 2pm.
Go home and have a kip- you'll need one.
Hit Bangla - Suzie Wongs - Devils Digitorium ( both in Soi Seadragon off Bangla) - Soi Crocodile - Hollywood.
Make sure everyone has a card with address in Thai for the hotel/villa - you will lose some 555!

Why watch a soap show when you can play a starring role in one at Cristins?
After that the girls in the places mentioned off Bangla will have much better ideas for entertainment than any thing you could arrange. That's where the real party will be, and it will take a life of its own. Famous is just a pretentious night club in a mall.

I'm assuming Devils, Crocadile et all are standard bars?? No issue with our numbers and the like??
And I know of Hollywood... Bit more club like no? Sounds good!

Could you recommend a bar to meet up before it all gets to messy? From our googling we we're thinking the after beach bar at Kata maybe... Just as a starting point... Or are we messing around to much? Just head down Bangla for 11 and jus go with it??

we did a seforum.xxx-do for BM Hobbsy in february on bangla and it was great fun. go into suzy wongs and had a fun time there especially as Hobbsy had to go up on seforum.xxxe during one of the shows also make sure you dont forget soi crocodile (the bar all the way in the back).

dont organize too much, if you do it spontanously it's way more fun

On my last trip I took newbie BM Curlybanger under my wings for a night. We went to Hollywood and he spoke the epic words Fnck, this is what clubbing should be like. Haven't heard from him since that first night though. 555

12 Noon til 1:30pm - Christins Soapie

2pm til 5pm - Rock hard go go (opens early/air con/pool table/girls on poles)

5pm til 7pm - grab a handfull of massage girls and take them to the bbq opposite the temple on nanai and get them to cook for you. Last time it cost us 800 baht per girl from soi kebsup

7pm til 9pm - Either take the girls from dinner back to the villa for a few more drinks or hang out at the cheap cocktail stand (79 baht) in soi sansabai and watch the girls heading to work.

9pm til midnite - Because there is a big group I'd hang out in soi tiger bars (under tiger disco) because you can sit at a couple of bars but still be within yelling distance. Great place for organizing company too.

Midnite til whenever - If theres anyone left then I'd be heading for the VIP at hollywood, you may have to send someone in the late afternoon to organize a table or 2.

This would be a standard day for me.....

Devils Playground, Suzy Wongs, Exotica ( raw owns these) and Diablo are all good A Go Gos.
Bar Sois ( lanes full of girly bars) are Sois, Easy, Gonzo ,Crocodile, Eric, Happy ( ?) Tiger 1 and ( new) Tiger 2. There are many other bars but.
Unless you are staying at Kata, dont bother with starting off there, its miles away from the entertainment at Patong.
Ive organized a few of these, and because some of the guys are married and/or blabbermouths , and because the future father-in-law and future family are there, most blokes just want to drink and have a bit of raunch....
As such, Cristins ( google it, it has massage girls sitting behind glass waiting to hurry upstairs when their number is called) isnt for everybody....
Rock Hard A Go Go is, particularly if you want to start early evening or afternoon... skantily clad girls dancing on seforum.xxxe ( and rooms out back).
Bars with beach views , again for afternoon drinking as you cant see the water at night, such as AROUND The Port ( on Beach rd) are'nicer bars' ( a little more exey and civilized, so a good starter) and no too far from Bangla Road, which is where you want to be in the night, but most venues ( with Girls , Girls, Girls) dont get going till 9pm at earliest.
This is where your new mate Raw ( above) can organize Go Go dancers, and even a private party...you tell him what you require and he tailors it to your needs... he has 4 Go Gos and Suzie Wongs is great fun and his drink prices are very fair...
About 11 or midnight you go Bar crawling ( if youve been at Go Gos since 9pm ) and all will be self evident.
Those still standing at 2am ( and not horizontal folk dancing) can then walk into Tiger Disco, Hollywood Disco , or Taipan Disco or Rock City till about 6am.

BE aware that any place advertizing Western Lady Dancers ( ie Russians) are outrageously priced for drinks . I was quoted 900 baht (.. 18 pound ?) a beer at a new one called Climax + A Go Go, above The Green Devil Pub . The Green Devil is actually a good party venue for your blokes.
As Baz said, EVERYONE should have their hotel business card on them.
Being touched up by ladyboys may be funny, but watch your wallets...in fact just take cash ( front pocket) and the Hotel card, you dont need wallets.
ALWAYS CHECK DRINK PRICES BEFORE ORDERING. All bars have a menu.
Best to get your bill presented on each order and pay immediately to avoid arguments with bill padding Mamasans.
Do not follow touts taking you to strip shows, the bill WILL be outrageous ( so he gets his 'commission' )
Advise all mates to NEVER get into an altercation with Thais, the mates WILL lose, and then the police will come, and they WILL lose more. Have some decorum and walk away from trouble or the night will be miserable. Trouble with other tourists has the same result for both parties.

All girls working the bars , and even the discos, that even means sitting and drinking at them, expect payment for later company, whether your mates are fantastically handsome or not. The accepted range is 1 to 3 thousand baht...ask only after youve made a little rapport and had a drink with them....

Addit: Many 'finer' hotels charge customers for bringing a Thai girl back. The blokes can easily establish if this is the case by asking outright at their hotels. If its more than about 500 baht, the girl can usually advise of alternatives in Patong itself ( Short Time rooms)...

How about some suggestions for 'earlier during the day'? ... how about a round of golf (there are some seriously good golf-courses around); or go-karting; or try out the shooting-range; or the quad-bike safari around the jungle (a bit tame, but quite a good laugh for a larger crowd) followed by the snake show (especially if you let them know who the groom is!).

Sure, some of these can be done in the UK, but get plenty of photos of everyone to show what a good time you had.

That'll take care of the daylight hours, then follow the suggestions above for the evening/night hours.

Don't forget to set some challenges to be completed throughout the day - getting photos of the groom (or others) with Ladyboys, tuk-tuk racing, and so on.

Cheers...good advice above on day time stuff by GMT.
This High Season so it has little rain making the Whitewater rafting a bit unchallenging....
My groups loved the ATVs at Kathu, but make sure you wear old clothes ( mud). There is also Go Karting ( 2 strokes really go) and a Snake/Monkey show clustered next to it.
But you'll need a minibus to go the 20 mins to it ( 14 seater costs about 2000 baht) and the driver will wait. Hmmm, organising that bit is a bit tricky for a newby...
Anyway, have fun.
( All the boys should have travel insurance as Thai 'activities' are notoriously underinsured. DO NOT RENT JETSKIS PERIOD!)
