I have no idea if you are talking about my post Armand however it seems I may have started this off with my lament of the current state of hip hop music....as I feel it has lost its juice and hardly has anything to say anymore other than I got more girls, a bigger gun, a nicer ride than you etc....etc.......etc....whereas it was once poetic and had true meaning....and at its best it was revolutionary......

i don't see my post as a racist post at all......sure it may be critical of one genre (which by definition is a classification therefore a stereotype.....however nuanced) of music......but I find most of the other genres of music you mention in your post even more ridiculous....heavy metal, country,alternative (to what????) etc....it's just shallow cartoonish stuff devised to make cash......the same way hip hop is headed IMHO....

I am not blaming anyone for trying to better their circumstances by trying to make money by the way.....just that they are not geting any of mine...and that it is sad that in amongst it there aren't the gems from passionate musicians that once existed

The only non-racist humans would be a single race who never encounter other races. But even they would have the latent potential for racism. To say they're not racist is like saying that Ancient Greek society was renowned for it's low levels of gun crime.

Do not be swayed by the most basic premise of what a song....any song.... has to say. Usually it is the chorus that is the most popular for commercial reasons but if the time is ever taken to sit back and actually listen to the verses....stories of heartache pain and suffering can be witnessed. Years back I had a roommate who was deeply into metallica(head banger music).... I hated headbanger music because all they did was yell......... one drunken night, he and I actually sat down and had a real conversation(irony) about music and he had me to actually listen to the verses........alot of BMs may know the song *One*. Within 10 minutes, that went from one of my most hated songs to a song that even today I hold very dear. That is all I am trying to get across with the posts I was making regarding music itself.

I am really not commenting to your post but am just using it for a reference...and giving credit. After reading the posts, I was really curious first hand what type reaction I would get from that word. So, I emailed my female......TG...........friendembrassed ) and simply asked her what did it mean. Well the response I got from her one of worry and disgust that I even knew what it was. She was very appalled that somehow, I had been able to even see that word and it gave me a greater since of things entirely. Did she know what it was........of course she did. And then when I think back to when we first met, she was even somewhat stand offish until she got to know me. Of course the next night I find out that as soon as she came back the mamason/papason(Lady-boy) was asking her about how was I. Which at the time I found funny(in a weird way) but now I am understanding that even more. So I am just saying that maybe it isn't the purest form of racism but mainly just ignorance. Of course racism is every where but to me, it is far more racist to know better and chose to be that way than just someone simply satuarted by ignorance. (Hmm.....is that a racist statement):bangin: .

In my experience black Americans tend to be a bit more sensitive about race than black British.

Probably cos of the History of blacks in America. Most of the blacks in Britain are the result and descendants of recent immigrations from the carribean colonies post world war 2.

Of course there is racism in the UK but I feel the blacks there don't have the "victim mentality". I'm sorry if this offends people but it's just my opinion. I've had the race card pulled on me a few times by an African American and it's annoying as ****.
