Speaking from some unfortunate experiences these tests never take that long. From a walk-in it is at most a week. From a family doctor you have a good relationship with a few days and from the hospital - a couple of hours.

Because I get tested regularly due to bladder complications I know that you rarely get called unless there is a problem. I always call at one week just to find out what's going on.

You are killing yourself with worry by not taking this matter into your own hands. And you are driving everyone else crazy with the anticipation.

From my unfortunate experience but also from discussions with my doctor 9 times out of ten Chlamydia is from sexual intercourse. BS possibly but less likely. So unless you were ultra risky sounds like there is a reason for no call back.

From the doc at the hassle-free-clinic to you...

The antibiotic used is a single dose of 4 pills. However, the doc I saw told me that the Clamydia which is going around these days seems to be "beating" the single dose. They are now prescribing Cipro (yep, the stuff that everyone was going crazy for during the amthrax scare - very powerfull antibiotic). Doc said that normally they would only prescibe the Cipro for secondary infections caused by the Clamydia (uninary tract, bladder, etc). Now, the doc's who are in the know are going right for the Cipro. In both cases of those I knew who contracted it, 3 rounds of Cipro were neccessary and they are still suffering from symptoms 6 months after the fact.

.....i don't think this is a very good idea since some people are allergic to certain antibiotics.....so the hulkster might find himself with a very sick wife if the wrong kind are taken without medical guidance

Has any thought been made to the fact that a MPA or many have this now and perhaps we need protection from them and for them? Hulk, have you look at this or made any calls to the mp's visited , perhaps somthing positive like someone else avoiding this will be good to come from this incident?

I think we can ask the Hulk this (what place), but really the trick is not to recieve a straddle from anyone, unless you want to stick a rubber on. This could be any and every place and any MPA..so becareful everyone.

Ask her if she has any allergies first. As a husband, you should know these things anyways.

I feel for you Hulkster;
This is a very sobering thread and should be a good warning of the need to wear a condom. No one needs this physical and mental pain!
If you have it and you suspect your wife might...ya got to tell her man....although it might change your relationship forever, think how you would feel watching your wife get sick. And when she does she will probably seek medical attention and when she finds out what she has, you will be trying to explain how you got it AND why you didn't tell her before she did!
If you have it and have to take treatment that involves her...tell her, for her sake.

Hulkster, I feel for you buddy. However I must agree with grizzledvet and ask who have you been with since the straddle slide because I know my little hulkamaniac doen't need any little machomans attacking him while hes doing his thing.
