Tiger or Tai Pan disco?

I have more trouble in Tiger and Tai Pan, than any other place though.

In Tiger it tends to be other FArnag causing the problems, but im so well known in their now unlove: ) that on the last couple of times the girls have pulled me out of the way before anything can happen.

At Tai Pan, its the staff and local who seem to cause me problems. The general trying to rip me off of change, saying I have given them wrong notes and the general bull shite. The times I have seen it happen to others in there and they have not realised. The girls must be making a packet from this. As Simbo says, the guy who owns it is scum, and I have arguements with him on a few occasions myself, yet he does nothing.

Seduction I have only been to a few times, and never lasted long, as New years a couple of years back would prove. Although that was before the re-fit.

Bannana, was a place I used to go when I was younger and a lot more 'mobile'. Back in the days when I used to start drinking at 5 or 6 and continue through untill past dawn. BEfore I ever went to MTB. LAst time I was in there was with Hobbsy a while ago. The first thing I said to him when we got in, was "I remember why I dont come here anymore".

Club Lime never been to as I can never remember it is there after 10 bottles of beer.

But im getting older, so I dont think I can handle going to these places anymore. Think I will stay at a bms bar, in my smoking jacket, slippers and pipe, until closing from now on!:rules:

Opinions on which one you like better?

I have been to both, some contrasts:

Tiger charges 240 bht (with two drinks) Tai Pan has free entrance.
Tai Pan closes later than Tiger.
Tai Pan has more oldies music while Tiger is more modern.
Tiger has better lightning, laser equipment etc.

Is it just me of are places slowly close later again? Yesterday Tai Pan was open really late.

Both seem to have a far number of freelancers, anyone want to share experiences?

Just a good ole soi bar where you can have a chat with yr mates without shouting and paying extortionate prices..... i fcuking hate disco's.... too loud, too expensive and full of in yer face w****s !!!

I like Tiger and I don't like Taipan. I think Taipan has worse music, lighting etc...
But my experience have told me that Thai girls often prefer Taipan, Nightstation, and that place at the end of Soi Croc.

Are Nightstation and the place in Soi Croc still open? or have they been shut down?

Nightstation closed last time I was in Soi Sukhumvit .... 3 months ago ish ... think D'Club (Soi Croc) is still trying to keep going.

Have not been to Tiger or Tai Pan for > 1 year - 240 Baht with 2 drinks sounds ok and a beer in Tai Pan is > 100 Baht!

Disco's are good to relax and chill out for me - so like Seduction (although music is at times 'iffy'), occasionally Baya Beach if not too packed - Club Lime for a mellow time, wish was busier and good old Banana - the oldest surviving Patong disco.

In 5 years still none of these has reached the sanuk factor of the legendary Shark! :

Nightstation was more for Thais, when I was there I were the only farang in the house and the place was quite full. But was good fun...

I have only been to Seduction one time, was about 1,5years ago. Nice layout of the place but the music was no good and only tourist there. But that was a long time ago... Never been to Banana or Club Lime...

A strange thing with Tiger is that sometimes you only get beer/winecoolers as the 2 free drinks but sometimes you get anything you want...

Personally prefer Baya to either Tai Pan or Tiger. Was in there last week, really good selection of girls.

Banana now charges farang and thai, guy or girl, 400 baht entrance, 2 free drinks and then 200 baht per drink after that, still closes at 2am, packed with farang fatster birds, Italians and arabs, Fl's are deserting it and the desperate guys in there, will try and grab your lady off your arm!!! one to avoid!

Never liked Banana for the same reason Dodger mentioned... The blokes almost want to fight over girls like they're the only ones in town and too many felangs for my liking.
Personally i like Tiger, plenty of fl's and have always enjoyed the music there... also the layout is awesome.....
Been to Baya and Taipan a couple of times over the years but just couldnt get into it, might give it another chance when in town next...

My preferred disco in Patong is Tiger without hesitation, full of freelancers and pretty girls. I have always found nice girls in there and had a lot of fun.
Taipan is a nice disco too.
I didn't like like Seduction and Banana the last time i visited too many tourists, many farang ladies too and sometimes i felt like i was back in farangland !
Never tried Club Lime, i might give it a go next time, the music must be quite good i guess...

i havent been there in almost a year, but have gone plenty and i somehow feel that Baya attracts a more "classy"(for lack of a better word) FL. girls much prettier, dressed more trendy

wish it was maybe double the size though, would be perfect

tiger more of a dance/trance club, not my scene

taipan- seems the lowest class of disco in Patong, to me

Club Lime is much more a younger guys place, music is possibly, no change that, is the best in any nightclub in town, not many girls go there although maybe because it is only slowly building up its customer base. Drinks are very reasonable at 100 bht a beer and no entrance fee, unless a guest DJ. Gee went last Thursday, I thought wouldn't be many people in there at 10pm when she arrived, but she said there was at least 50 people and all young, dance wherever you end up standing.

As I am back after nearly 2 years now I have to say a lot changed.
As mentioned Banana is charging 400 entry for two drinks more expensive then in the most clubs in Europe and it is way too much Farang like for my taste and could it be that there are much more russian ******s here now.

BAya was and is still not a good club for me and I am happy to see that it isnt as crowded as before.

TaiPan was a fun club for me but is it only me thinking that the ladies are older and uglier than ever before in that "club".

Tiger is the best place to go clubbing and see some beautiful ladies it has become my favorite club to go to hangout in the night.

Safari is still worth a visit when all other clubs closed and opens til the morning.


Seduction looks good but has nearly no people in it so not fun at all to go to.

My vote would go to Tigers

First night in LOS was last year, went walking down Bangla for the first time and yes normal reaction, jaw on the floor and eyes wide open – Even after a 15 hour flight.
Spent most of the night at the bar at the start of Soi Gonzo, and met an English guy who gave us some much needed advice. After many many drinks, he said we should all go to Tiger Club.
So we all headed off to Tiger and up the stairs (Hard work for someone on Crutches)
As we entered and I heard the music and saw all the lovely ladies around us I thought I was the best place in the world. On my trip we also went to Tai Pan and Banana, but I would always wanted to go to Tiger. In the end, I was getting up the stairs quicker than my mates were and staying out longer to. But always had someone to help me down the stairs when I left

So I vote for TIGER (Grrrrrr)

In which case 200 - 300 Baht dependent on star value of the DJ - still that does get you a beer or house pour which not a bad deal.

BTW Stumbled across an infomercial for Club Lime on Phuket Life Style (or something like that on my cable channel) - they interviewed Nakadia -- funny interview but she claims she's playing at the closing ceremony of the Euro 2008 (football) - not bad for her!
