Tiger or Tai Pan disco?

i fecking hate disco type clubs 'cus i'm old and anti social and they never play the clash ,so there!

In November 2007 I frequented Tai-Pan......never set foot in Tiger.
In April 2008 I spent the first 3 nights in Tai-Pan and then on the insistance of a "lovely" went to Tiger.
Well that was it for me......I was a "Tiger Convert"
I enjoyed the music a lot more than Tai-Pan and I thought the quality of ladies in Tiger was better.
The 240 baht entry got me any drink I wanted.
But.....at the end of the day.....it's a matter of personal preference.....and that is what makes the world great......opinion and choice.

How far is Club Lime from Bangla?

Went to Banana yesterday with a Thai massage lady I asked to come to dance with me. Banana is really more like a classic disco and is not as busy as for instance Tiger. Not many Thais in there. Good place for dancing.

Afterwards we went to Tiger and as usual the place is loaded, after 1 it is kind of hard to dance.

I do like the music better in Tiger, Banana is kind of experimental with lots of rhythm changes.

Taipan is a last chance dance club as they refer to it in the UK and the lights are low for a reason!! Beer has been B120plus for a year now which explains why the 'owner' drives around town in a 7 series BMW. I am not keen on him (for various reasons) or the music and haven't been there for over a year (getting busted by tilak with a ST wasn;t the reason- honest!!) There was a rash of pick pocketing in there and the staff didn't give a toss. Again Tiger isn't my scene- loads of FLs but can't stand the music. As for Club Lime and Rock City their trucks driving round town really piss me off with their obnoxious music. OK I'm a grumpy sod and not on holiday so there are plenty of other places that flick my switch- these types of club are OK for the short term visitor but they soon get tired.

my first post in ages. I havnt been back since August 07:

my usual routine each nite would be:

10 pm MTB
11'ish check out some bars beneath Tiger
12'ish head upstairs to Tiger
2am Safari

usually after safari, I head straight across the road to the Reggae Bar(forgot the name, but the owner has dreadlocks) and relax till its home time.

On rare occasions will go to Taipan but I wouldnt stay long. Have been to Banana a few but there are too many wanabee's around.

Overall, my favourite is Tiger for reliability with good looking FL's and danceable music.

Last week I have been everywhere... only two clubs I like BAYA BEACH and CLUB RIO... Especially RIO... It now absolutely new club... Truth Coyote............, but music and girls are very good....

to me tiger ain't a great disco,even though,I always drop in once or twice when in patong. shark used to be alot better IMHO, comparing tiger with tai pan makes no sense at all,to me, tai pan is nothing but a pub with a live band in it, plus some ugly fl's,
yes dodger, banana ain't right too many farangs and a shoreforum.xxxe of fl's,plus those Italians puuufhhh. 55555

i know it isnt everyone's cup of tea but i loved the outside feel, then the DJ in the back house in the wee hours was best hip hop DJ in Phuket when i was staying there

Almost everything is around Bangla road. but Banana is on the beachroad and also Club Lime and Rock City 1 are located on Beach road but towards northern patong.

In my opnion, all the clubs have pros and cons in Patong. Some much more than others. But no-one come near perfect for me.

My least favourite is Baya. Although I haven't been in there since back in the day with Dodger and Dunc years and years ago now (well maybe 2!), so could of improved. Just too many of the tight muscle topped, permi-glow, "Look at me", metrosexual styled, "Dude" saying, daddy payed for, holiday makers.

Why did you leave us Star club, WHY????????????

I think all of these places mentioned above is OK, pro and cons with all. I like Seduction maybe little bit more, but I havent been there for a long time as Ead has been pregnant etc and now everywhere close early too.

Seduction was great to me, but I didnt look for a FL for the night either, then Tiger disco or taipan would be a lot better choice.

Tiger is always over crowded which shows they are very popular, but too crowded for me, so I guess if I was a single guy today I would probably spend my time in Tai Pan. As a married guy, Seduction gets my vote.

Shark Club is the best disco/club I ever been to, I miss it.

Club Rio is located at the beginning of Bangla in the Rat-U-Thit intersection and it's not a new club, have been around for ages.
