Tiger Vs Tai Pan: my thoughts

Tiger is dark and loud but that never really bothered me. I can still see the ladies. Went with the lads last trip and evevryone including IJ were having fun. Tai Pan I never got into it. It is easier to get yer drink and it is well lit. Baya has got ladies which was great. Nice one too, but damn that fecking place is just to hot........A bit crowded but that was not such a problem copared to the lack of AC. Safari was and is always the place for me. All night long and plenty of girls :ytounge: Supersatr was cool but I was always to drunk to play pool.

I like tiger the most, but as for picking up girls, i have no clue. But everything is usually so laid back in Tai Pan but the music is great.

For me Safari wins no contest.

It's the only club with that laid back island vibe that appeals to me.

Kinda similar to some of the cool places I found when a teenager in Ibiza.

I think I feel this because the back part is outdoor and I enjoy the little touches like the rock climbing wall, gives it that coolness the others lack.

A comment was made about 'all that R&B sh1t', the back of safari plays that along with Hip hop, although I like the hard dance scene, I dont agree that it's not good music to play in a club, the way the girls dance to it alone is reason enough to be there.

I have pretty much the same thoughts about all 3 of them....

Taipan... Is a total last resort only for me, And thats only because its on the way back to the hotel mg: Went in a few times on my last tour (Was dragged in :embrassed ) and the music is shite and most of the ladys are not much better...

Baya Beach... Is a little bit better, The music is better and the women are 10 times better, But then the downsides to the place is that it is always packed, And the competition for the stunners is pretty tough and then like Hobbsy said there attitudes aint the best...

Tiger Disco... I like some things about this place, I like that its dark and has by far the best layout of the discos in Patong, Also plenty of nice looking girls in there and the music has a bit of a mixture, All be it R&B/HipHop for 30mins and then switch to a bit dance music for another 30mins, And then vice-versa for the whole night, But like Hobbsy said the music is pretty much the same over and over again, Same as when I was last there at Songkran... As the rest said it the best of a bad bunch...

Safari....For me is just a good place to go for a late drink, Nothing really special, But you can also find a few nice girls there though if you get there early, The layout is good aswell, And the music in Safari is probably the best around Patong , The problem with the place for me is that its too far away, If it was closer, It would get a better rating...

Baya Beach... only ever been once....was totally wasted and kept on falling on people b4 l was dragged home by a FL.....from what l remember it was quite tiny.

Well l feel asleep at Love Bar at Xmas (about 4am) and IJ had to "carry" me back to the Hotel.......maybe if l have a wee nap oin the tuk tuk on the way up.....is there a discount if l present my Seniors Card?.....do they have Bingo Nites up there?

Safari...not in walking distance from my hotel and in all trips, never been there and would not like to be there is i will be pissed drunk when the place gets going...what is also the point of going there if you cannot remember what happened in the morning? Morever there are already, Taipan, Tiger, Baya just next to my hotel?

i think a good dance/trance/hard dance/techno/hard house club would do well over in patong. alot of young people are into that type of music and as i said IMO nothing gets a niteclub buzzing like good dance music.

just been talking to a few lads about the lack of good dance music in patong, they tell me there is a good club near safari , they referred to it as "underground" has any one ever heard of it, they tell me it plays banging hard house and good dance music. they said it goes on till the early hours. i will get more info tomorrow but just wanted to see if any of you lot know where they are talking about

Its clearly marked.. By the side of Safari leading out of town is a brick boxy building (that also plays harder house) and then past that theres a set of steps that lead down into underground, with a large sign IIRC on the road front. Its only a tiny place and it gets real hot down in there too.

Used to be there most nights but it used to pick up when safari closed at about 5ish.. Good until 7ish most days.. Back when Dragon was a disco usual night out was drink until 2 then dragin until about 4:30 - 5 when it closed then underground until 6 - 7..
