This is an interesting topic, and I have a question for those who know/follow current markets & are in this scene:

1) I'm mainly in the Asian SP scene and in my opinion, prices there are too much right now (typically 220/280/380 for 30/45/60) ... so, hypothetically, if we get the official announcement that we are in a recession at some point in the next year, and MP places lower their price, do you think SP shops will lower their price as well?

For the Asian SP scene, recession in Canada means nothing (just less SPs coming from overseas), if there home economies South Korea, Japan, China go into a steep recession more will want to come to Canada which will lower prices. I see the Asian SP scene being more Stagflationary at the moment.

From my perspective the times are changing when it comes to the Spa scene. On the business side Supply has exceeded Demand and we are are the down side of the Bell curve. In Markham there are way too many places that I would describe as Semi Legit.......some good and some not so good. Major intersections have signs shoved into the grass offering low ball prices. Just yesterday I saw one that offered a 30 minute massage for $19.99. What does that tell you? Places that I have some intel on are only getting a handful of customers per day and are struggling to stay afloat. The granny and milf places are not going to survive and will disappear, they just can't get new young talent. I think in the future someone will go to a Legit or Rmt massage place for a solid massage. If someone are looking for something more they will likely visit a place like QQ Square.
Young ladies that want to make a lot of money in a short time will work at places like QQ, make their money and disappear.

I agree. With "inflation" (I have that in quotes because at first it was gas prices, then when they started to drop it quickly became inflation lol), I think places are really struggling. And the girls seem to be moving a lot (I notice several places have many new girls and ones that have been there a long time are now gone). But like inflation, independent ones have also increased their already outrageous prices. I get they can charge whatever they want (mind blowing how many feel they're actually worth it), but guys have to stop paying these outrageous prices. Imagine if it was reversed guys! lol Think about the money vs the time. Do you get paid that for your job, or anywhere near that? Imagine asking your employer for that for your time.
