i dunno it's being covered on several call in type shows. then again everything under the sun is covered on those shows since their business is talking no matter how big or small. but what erks me is they keep that stupid fact colume off to the side and keep reminding people "over 200 holistic spas!", "costs tax payers 2.5 million" i guess this is aimed at getting the GET RID OF ALL OF THEM reaction

but the fact still remains that I belive what these reporters are doing is actually good as opposed to not, we have a situation here toronto.
why should there be a cap on body rubs when there is nocaps on restuarants,donut shops, convienience stores ect....
and I do agree with you LS1 that there should not be FS in body rubs and the use of holistic licenses are in fact abused, but I dont belive that that should be used against the owners or attendants, that is the city's fault for allowing the situation to get as far as it did,
Now saying that I belive that alot of MPA's do offer more than they should but as I mentioned before there is always one bad apple in the bunch.

I found the star's article very bias and self serving. Calling all Massage parlours 'brothels' and stating that 'some form of sex always goes on' is a complete lie. I have been in the hobby for 8 years and have only been given the option of fs or a bj during a session twice, one time was a few years ago- the place is no longer there and another time was out of town. There are far more impotant issues that the papers, bi-laws and cops should concentrate on then 'holistic centres'. In case anyone cares I have seen 'Sophie' and she is very nice and didn't provide me with any sexual services.

There are huge differences. The main one is that in body rub it is how it sounds. I full body massage with sensuality as described in the by-laws in the City of Toronto.

Holistic is to be restricted to only the upper body and is the systematized manipulation of soft tissues for the purpose of normalizing them. Practitioners use a variety of physical methods including applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, or causing movement to the body. Therapists primarily use their hands, but may also use their forearms, elbows.

True Holistic Massage takes 2 years training at an accredited college.
