Vietnam copped it hard too.. Was some real warnings for the NE but seemed that Cambo and Laos took much of the energy Reviewom the winds.

They are fore-casting an even bigger typhoon to hit landfall, probably further North of Manila in the next day or so.

Just had sms Reviewom Subic where they say they are expecting the 'super typhoon'.

Many moving out of the immediate beach area, apparently.

Sounds like its got people scared, unsurprisingly.

Panic and hysteria .... typhoon will landfall most likely on NE corner of Luzon ....

Probably will get a ton of rain but mountains of northern Luzon are likely to be the most mpfected.

Probably is but,l given the sh1tload o rain and flooding in the area already that I have seen in houses a couple of feet high, I can understand their concerns!

One particular residence I am familiar with has a small water runoff close by (20 ft away) that now looks like a raging river.

I'd fecking panic too, weather forecasters are not famous for accuracy... much like financial advisors!!!!!!55555555555

Correct, now raining heavily in Manila, AC and Subic but not as bad as the last one, they say.

Lets hope it does not get any worse, many have suffered enough already.

So thats 3 quakes and 2 major typhoons one of which has battered PI and Vietnam..

For typhoons/Huricanes in the Northern hemisphere, the North-Westerly quadrant is the worst, well that is what they teached me in school. So if the projection of Parma is correct Taipe could be in for a nice one.

Well you wouldn't want to be sat in a wooden hut in 200Kph winds, so I guess the panic and a smidge of hysteria is justifiable!

Latest this morning is very heavy rain but not nearly as bad as before.

They are waiting for evening when the storm is supposed to be at its worst in the Subic/AC area.

Some flooding taking place but, apparently, nothing life threatening as most have moved to higher ground.

Poor sods, lets hope no more in this area.

Much suffering and poor people being made even poorer.

Having been there and experienced how most of them live day to day my heart goes out to them.

AC (currently 17:00 Phils Time) - modest rain, light winds - and lastest storm track has it slowing (bad news for NE Luzon) and turning shaply eastwards.

Not sure how bad in Subic, Manila seems ok but cant get through to Reviewiend in Subic so hope all is ok and not to much fallout Reviewom the NE in terms of water.

Seems the worst of it passed them by thankfully.
