Very nice pics....very nice description about Sophie describing the characteristics/attributes of the bottle, er, girl. (Reminds me of reading the back labels on the various wine bottles)
Very drink-able...Enjoy NOW and OFTEN!!!!
I would describe Sophie as being very QUAFFABLE!
This wine is a blend of equal portions of French & Canadian grapes, blended superbly.
Hints of dense chocolate, vanilla, honey, cherry, plums, and candied apples. There are also nuances of double rum & cokes lurking here.
The balanced finish can be quite explosive, forward, but friendly. Or, can be shelved for more maximization of flavour experience. (Not that this wine needs any refinement or enhancement)
However, I would (personally) lay this cuvee down (Oh boy, would I like to get her horizontal!)
so that the strong tannins have had a chance to mellow out. Decant and let breath for at least 2-3 hours in the Vegas room for proper enjoyment.
This vintage should provide superb drinking for the next few years. Drink now through 2015.
