This hobby is getting quite expensive. Lol. I mean pretty soon an SP is going to be the highest paying job in calgary. 250 for a 30 min session with minimal supplies needed, besides a jacket to wrap "your little brother" and some cheap massage oil I'd say they're doing pretty good. Unless they wash that jacket and reuse it on the next customer. Always cringe when I see them walk in the room and its not even in a wraper anymore but instead it's on a tray.

I always ask before any service takes place. And, I do negotiate so I make sure I don’t over pay.

This hobby can be very expensive, we all need to watch that, because if that is the case, then, this hobby may no longer a hobby but a habit.

Bottom line is SP can ask for whatever she wants, but that doesn't mean she is going to get that. We all should be in control of our finances, allocate a budget to the hobby, and have limits on what we are willing to pay for the services provided. Unfortunately some clients do pay whatever the SP asks just to get the service, meaning they need their fix. That's why the SP asks for the exorbitant rate, to test the water, and sometimes from the SP perspective, she gets lucky and she comes across the hungry client looking for a fix. So then she wonders how many more such clients she can bag, and that starts a trend. Along comes the innocent client who doesn't know better so he thinks that's what the rate is and guesses or thinks it's reasonable, he falls into the trap and the trend continues. We always need to keep in mind that we are in control of the market and we are the ones who set the price. In many ways it's not all that different from the price of a stock determined on the stock market
