In my life, I've learned that pretty much anytime I say I'm never going to do something, events lead me to doing exactly what I said I would never do. It's a powerful word! In school, I said I would never do deep tissue therapy. I thought it was too forceful. But then in my first year of practice, I received many requests for deep work & found I had a natural ability. It was my first specialty. I also didn't like lymphatic work in school & thought I would never pursue further training in that modality. However, clients requested that specialty also, and when I needed CEU's, I took a class through Upledger & it completely transformed my practice. Now, it's almost all I do! I actually love the power of "Never." It's taken me to wonderful places.
On a non-work related note:
Before my husband & I met, he prayed to fall in love, but he tried putting 2 caveats on the prayer. He said it couldn't be anyone he worked with, and there couldn't be a big age gap. A couple of months later, he fell in love with me. I was a coworker 19 years younger. He got exactly what he said he didn't want! We've been happily married 11 years now. Thank you God for not paying attention to caveats!
