Finally made it back to HK after almost 6 months. It was a Tuesday afternoon and I was surprised to see it was jumping inside. The problem is, AmigoMio, is that our minds may get used to the loud music but our ears don't. The loud music is doing real harm to our ears' anatomy. It is literally reducing the number of years of quality hearing that we have. I don't know about you, but I am a huge music fan and the thought of not being able to listen to music later on in life is terrifying to me. This is part of the reason I rarely last more than ten minutes or so in the loud bars. I enter, make a few trips around the place, and if I do not see any chica or chicas that grab my attention, I leave. If I find I chica, I will stay long enough for the customary ficha and negotiation but very soon go arriba or take my leave. I know some mongers will pooh-pooh this concern, but it is real and it is something we should all at least acknowledge and then decide if we want to continue living with the damage.
