I usually head straight for Adelita's but one time wandered into HK bar on a whim. There was too much lighting for my tastes to start with, then there was some sort of chorus line type of show going on.

Couple of the chorus line chicas looked real cute and had a just-off-the-bus-from-pueblo-chiqueta look to them. I queried some dude in a tux-like get up (assumed he worked there) and asked him to bring one of em over to my table. He told me the chorus line gals only sing or dance, no hotel.

Now, wondering if he was fucking with me?

I haven't been down in at least 9 months. But i used to go quite frequently, and I never really thought the girls in HK were that hot (many I find ugly) but they were more fun as is the club in general(compared to adelitas).

Though I have never had trouble finding hotties(8+) in adelitas it's rare for me to find one in HK.

What is bad for the bars, girls, and taxistas ends up being bad for the monger. I rarely stay out that late, but I realize that the Zona Norte economy does better when the bars stay open later. Not just Zona Norte, but the law impacts the already damaged Revu bars and impacts the locals at La Sexta bars. Some of my Tijuanense Facebook friends and group for non-monger bars all were excited about being able to go back to not having to clear the bars out just when the fun starts.

I get you don't like Hong Kong, but a zona is like a shopping mall and it needs anchor tenants. People hear about the anchors like Adelita and Hong Kong and go to Tijuana. If it is too crowded or expensive, they see the other bars and alley girls to have fun with and they come back. Hong Kong drives people to the Zona. Even if you never go there, it is good for the zona. Although I hate too many dudes in the way, they bring more girls to the area at all price points.

I"m not so sure the bar hours will change as I understand Bustamante was a member of a group that played a big part in forcing the bars to live with the law. 3pm is on the books and it may not change anytime soon.

I think it is best for us that the bars close at 3....not so good for the bars, but it works out to a huge advaneforum.xxxe to the mongers.

20 year anniversary....I suppose they are counting the years the place set empty while it was closed.

Hong Kong is having its 20th anniversary party a week from Wednesday. It isn't going anywhere. It practically prints money. The margins on the drinks are incredible. They're also remodeling Hotel Cascada. I'm not aware of a Mexican version of the Americans with Disabilities act, but Hong Kong recently installed ramps to make the bar more accessible to disabled mongers. Watch the floor people and mangers. That place is run like a well oiled machine. Bustamonte winning the election means they can go back to 24/7 hours.

The higher tier girls -- the ones that need help collecting their tips after dancing -- will want $80 and some are worth it. Some insist on $80 and aren't. Some will ask for $80 and quickly accept a lower offer. If a girl wants $200+ she doesn't want to go with you. Or she figures you for a rube and you'll pay it. Maybe because I'm not a total slob or stinky that I don't get shot down on trips upstairs. I've also been a regular fixture in the club and know if I'm pleased with their performance they'll get repeats and they could make a lot more from me in the long term.

I do think AmigoMio is right and that prices are going to go up. And why not? That place is a sausagefest and there's people willing to pay more. Economics 101. The girls aren't dumb. They're spending money now adding more VIP rooms for their higher end clients. They're trying to serve the guys with money and the teeming masses and the formula is working. Some guys never go to the room and will just spend a few bucks groping the dancers a dollar at a time while they avoid the meseros wanting them to buy a drink. Other guys will get a VIP room and bottle service and drop a thousand bucks.

I have three gripes with Hong Kong:
1) in their quest to have lots of girls working at all times, they've let the quality slip. I'd rather have an empty space on the bar than an fat ugly old chick dancing there. Some of the ugly old ones almost extort you buy telling you to tip them to go away. I try to be a gentleman but move along, vaca.

2) They keep the AC set too high. Of course this is done to keep people thirsty but it makes me leave. But it backfires on people like me that will go for the relative comfort of Adelita or Chicago. [If HK had their AC set at what Amnesia is set at I'd never leave]. So it is hot all the time and the girls that dance are sweaty and the guys are sweaty and it smells like a gym locker room. I know I'm a gringo that runs hot and so I'm always uncomfortable outside the US and its arctic AC settings, but have it set to at least 75f!

3) There's too many vendors selling nuts, stuffed animals, etc. It is a Mexican border town bar so I expect some of it, I don't need to be bothered by these people every two seconds. I have no problem with the meseros like some posters do. It is a bar and the bar makes its money on drinks. So I'll always have a drink in my hand. They never try to sell me chips like I see them do with the n00bs.

Most of them pay rent daily in the hotel above, but even then rent can be due on any day. My rent is due on the 23rd every month.

I totally believe you.
There are a couple of girls here at the SCs that quote 4000 pesos for sex to the regular customer, but if the guy's a hunk the price goes down to 1000.

You can walk in there, not buy a drink, and ask any girl "how much" if that is the way you like to do it. Most go for $50 or $60 and the room is $15 for 30 minutes.

Sometimes chicas offer a real high price....basically it is there way of saying they don't want to go to the room with you.

Let me point out a couple of thing that mistify you guys.

1. There is always an urban leyend that at least one trannie is working at your favorite SC. It happens at TJ and it happens at the SCs of my hometown of Monterrey.

2. Sex is always present at the SC. Someone posted below that there is no sex at the HK cause management would be accused of runing a brothel.... REALLY???? am shocked.... shocked that there is sex going on here!!!
Thing is that HK has become a regular "modern" SC where everything must go first to the house and then, maybe, to the girl. Has anyone of you dare ask the girl you take to a VIP if she will have sex if you pay her "extras"????
You know, like *gasp*, more money???

3. You guys are now dealing with girls from all over Mexico that are used to the rules "pay me and a lot". I know as a fact cause 2 girls (cousins) that work at Monterrey's Infinito are working in TJ at the HK and these girls will not do anything if money is not present.

4. HK is working nice. Every single monger on every single board said that HK would die in a couple of months... and there it is, still going.
Expect more busniness like HK to pop up and expect prices to go up all over TJ in the near future.

I disagree, it depends on where you sit, if your just sitting upstairs right above the tubs then yes, but in the dance areas, I don't see any older ladies up there.

My observations of HK lately are that there are a lot of fat, ugly, old chicks that hangs around, who do not dance, do not perform, but simply walks around and asks for $1 tip for customers to squeeze their tits, which most of us won't do even if it is free. I hate that. Instead of being nice and give the $1, I have been refusing lately. Does management know that these leeches are taking money from customers, which should be spent on young girls who acutally work for a living. HK is getting worst than peanuts and beer... What the fuck is this???
