If that's the case why is housing prices going through the roof? LOL. It's inflation, meaning the central banks is printing too much money too fast.

The high price of houses was already a problem for years and years, even when inflation was at 1%. Inflation isn't the problem of high housing prices. The problem was low mortgage rates. Just 18 months ago you could get a locked-in 5 year mortgage at 1.5%. That was ridiculously low. Heck, in 1980 it was 20%. How were housing prices back then? Pretty reasonable.

That's partly the problem as well. Many investors in Toronto and Vancouver drove prices up in Canada as a whole. But why is that the answer that came just recently? Why didn't the Chinese invest 20 years ago like they are today? Did they become rich overnight? I still think the interest rates were too low and drove up demand.
