The government controls over 50.1%.
And then you add in their control through regulations and it goes WELL BEYOND 50.1%.
How does that not qualify as a centralized, planned economy?

You think that because you control 1/3rd of your wealth while the government controls 2/3rds, you live in a free market, capitalistic society?

And incase you weren't aware, deficit spending is a tax, which is a confiscation of your wealth.
And so is inflation. Then you realize that the government understates inflation - on purpose - and it proves, beyond argument, that Canada is a centrally controlled, Communist economic system.

You don't even own your house because the land it sits on is actually owned by your city government. If you don't pay property taxes for a short while - they will remove you from your house, sell it, and then give you whatever is left over. I laugh when I hear people tell me they own their own home. Give me a fucking break, the government owns your home.

And when you die, your relatives have to pay tax on the property you give to them, even though you paid tax on that property your entire life. And if your relatives can't pay, you will forced to sell the property and pay the government.

And you are trying to tell me you own your capital?

Try working without paying employment taxes - the government even owns your right to work.
And then you have to pay into the CPP, but you can't will your CPP contributions to anyone, for the government owns your CPP account.

Oh, and now we have perpetual lockdowns, business closures and only 'essential' businesses can open.
