Your board Handle: To tell or not to Tell??

There are only two mps I believe who know my handle though that was from them messaging me and wanting to meet up for a session actually. I have found when your in a session with a mp and they ask you where did you hear about this place that is the warning sign for not saying perb or massageplanet...lol

When going into the Edmonton MPs, I only tell them if we seem to be getting along extremely well. It can put the girl on the defensive, perhaps thinking you're trying to use it as leverage to get a better session out of her. I like to think we're having a good time because of how we get along, not because she's feeling threatened.

I've actually gotten better sessions out of girls who have had fairly restrictive reputations on the boards because they don't think I'm going to write about how I got more than others did. They don't want everybody coming in and demanding it. Sorry, but when that happens, I try to respect their feelings and I won't write about it anyways.

My handle has lost me some bookings and has gained some bookings.
I try not to let my handle known, but if asked I do tell the SP.
Using your handle shouldn't come in to play when booking but it does.
There is 1 SP in Calgary that I have been trying to book, but will not give me
the time of day.Could it be because of my handle? May-be!
Do the SP's place a face to a handle?
Do SP's have a certain perception towards an individual and his handle?
A lot of food for thought here.

In the Edmonton MP's, it's best to NOT let on you are a member of ANY review board for a few reasons. Of course some of the sp's do put 2 and 2 together

As others have said, some gals may think you are trying/threatening for better service/cheaper rates

Some of the gals (but not all) have a real hate on for review boards in general as they cannot get away with anything like the fast clock, over charging etc.

There are also a couple of other issues that I have not seen mentioned.

Some asshats go out there and use our board handles in an attempt at extras/freebies/whatever. I've heard of three different descriptions of one handle.

Try booking a sp using your handle after one of them has just been through, or even worse going into a session and letting your handle drop and the gals have been bad mouthing your imposter

We also have a wing nut or two who go around slagging their board enemies and digging up information to put the kybosh on their sp dealings. And as the gals do talk, word gets around..

Only logical reason is that they like to play the victim for sympathy and freebies/extra's, board presence

I still remember getting a call about one in particular who was/is after me (for making a sp not fall in love with him and calling out his stalking of her), the studio door wasn't even closed on his backside yet and I was hearing about it, LOL

So there are many reasons NOT to give out your handle in the Edmonton MP scene

There are some solid pluses in letting the girl know your handle in etown if:

~ You have a rep as a "good guy", and..
~ The lady reads massageplanet/perb and has a favorable outlook toward "you"..

You get a way better session, more enthusiasm, passion and vfm, since she is expecting you to do up a review on her, so she wants to be absolutely sure that you'll say fantastic things about her.

The girl then spreads the word about "you" to the other gals in the studio, so that when you go see another lady in that studio...same scenario.

But, the minuses are heavy ones:

* For years, when there was only perb, many of the ladies just Hated anyone who was on a review board...so if they knew you were a reviewer, you would get an "adequate" session, but not a great one..In some cases, you got a shitty session since she had a negative attitude toward perberts..This attitude still exists today in some studios...

* if the gal knew your handle, should you become a regular, and she starts following your reviews about other SPs, she could become "jealous" and proprietary, considering you her personal regular and "piggy bank", thus souring her attitude toward you.

* If you are in the habit of telling your handle to the girls, don't be surprised when other fuckwad pooners start "using " your handle to try to get better sessions..or to try to "blackmail" the gals with the threat of a bad review, Using Your Handle..Naturally, the girl thinks "you" (as in your handle) are an arsehat, and starts telling the other ladies..

* You tell the girl your handle, you get along great, she wants your repeat business, and she may wanna be sending you PMs etc..Life can get very complicated getting involved in any way shape or form with an sp, and it all starts with giving out your handle to the lady..

* Big Minus: You give up your power to do a Fair Review..

My policy and recommendation for Newbies at Etown MPs:

~ If at all possible, don't let the girl know you're on a review board..

~ If she flat out asks you, or refers to perb or massageplanet, act the innocent and say that you read only, but do not post.

~ If you want to keep your pooning simple, straightforward and uncomplicated of any type of SP/Pooner relationship other than a business relationship, then keep your handle anonymous, and don't let on that you are on any review board, period..
