to me, having a guest DJ introduces people to different music that they may not be hearing where they live. gives DJ's in LOS a chance to add to their playlist
it happens all around the world(and a ton in your own backyard, BKK), why not Phuket?

I'm not just some random shit DJ, I'm 1 of 6 Canberra Allstars I have played many gigs big and small and am resident DJ at 3 of Canberra biggest night clubs, one of which is rated as Australia's 3rd best (academy) Not trying to blow my own horn just don't want to come across as a some random.

I didn't realise you were a Pom, I wouldn't have played with you if I'd have known.

White Box supposedly had the best Hip-Hop dj in Europe play there last Saturday (according to their flyers) but from what I heard he played Bob Sinclair, which IMHO is not hip-hop. False advertising does not do anybody any favors.

Anyway back on topic, temporary work permits for artists/dj's are not easy to get hold of and most touring dj's simply run the risk, Eg When Cash Money previously played at Mint in Samui, Bangkok Immigration were on the island specifically looking for foreign dj's without papers. The management of Mint were going mad as they had posters plastered all over the island, stating Ca$h Money, USA. So they had a Thai dj on standby just in case they poked their heads through the door. Luckily they didnt & the night went off as Ca$h showed why he is one of the greatest hip-hop dj's in the world.
