Here is the dangerous spots someone posted on the internet that he believes is dangerous. This map has been around a lot, but this poster did nice original work pointing out the dangerous spots in Tijuana . It's not bad, I agree with many of his findings, especially on ART 123,( 1st street) isn't that dangerous, where half the street is in green, meaning not dangerous at all, and the south end, says to be cautious which is in yellow, and as you go east outside the zona, it's colored in red, meaning to avoid!

1 week every 4 months is not alot of time to practices selfdefense moves.
ITs like a sport to get good at it you have to practcies everyday.

( I saw a repo man at work before, and the guy came out and told him, to either drop the car, or he'll drop him, and the repo man dropped the car!

We do this 100% of the time but,{ drop the car,the next day we'll follow the person to work are a place where they be there inside for a long time.to get the repo.}you do not know who your dealing with.In FEB I was repo a car in oceanside this lady came out of the house scram and yellen, woke up most of the block.So I drop the car off the self loader.guess what she wants to do while I trying to leave ?She try stab me with a knife but it bounce off me vest. I disarm her and waited for the cops to come they were there 2mins later one of her nighbors called the cops because of all the noise. I can go with more story about dropping the car and still get attack.


I have also received numerous online threats from other mongers who have threatened or promised to kick my ass, or have it kicked by others, or have the TJ cops take me for a ride. It seems some people don't like what I write about?

I know what you mean, one of my pet peave is guys coming to these sites and saying they are an ex navy seal, or army ranger and what war heroes they are. I'm also sorry to report it's these kind of guys who make up stories about fights and choke holds on ART 123. I think it has it roots in self-esteem problems, and maybe why we get so many ex so-called navy seals on these sites.



Just go there and sign up it's free, although the stories are hard to find, and really don't have a lot of details, and frankly the ones that involved choke holds, lack emotions..it makes me doubt it ever happened? The other reports just talk about knowing someone that was mugged, or something they witnessed. It's just now part of board myth, where it's just accepted without question how dangerous ART 123.

Lot of your stuff your posting is goodstuff, but if the mugger is coming from behind and choking people out{blacking out} you don't have the time to find the head to goug the eyes out.

You find for example one guy claims he witnessed 3 attacked in TJ in a span of 12 years, well in 12 years, I'm sure most people witnessed crimes taking place in the streets. I know I personally witnessed many purse snatching many times in the streets of America

Gosh, that article borders on overtly racist. I've seen the same level of misinformation from some xenophobic message board posters, its surprising to see it portrayed as an actual article.

It does have the right mix of truth, lies and fiction to convince those with a bias to begin with. The sarcastic tone and sometimes ridiculous claims makes it a little less believable, but I don' think they get the smartest guys to write this stuff.

Here is a site called "usborderpatrol.com" it's a site that supports our border patrol, and they posted some stuff they consider unbiased about Tijuana, and the dangers. I got a good laugh reading it especially about the TJ sex workers and all the diseases you can get if you venture south looking for a little action. My only question is how do they know all about the zona. You think they tried about a hooker or two, and then warned about the dangers?

I find this article stupid and tries to put the worst possible face about Tijuana, it's a wonder why anybody would ever visit after reading this article?
While they do cite a few facts, it's nothing that a average monger would run into, but keep in mind people really believe all these stories and how dangerous Tijuana really is...............but somehow it still doesn't stop them from visiting or even living there every chance they could get.

( I'll look around and see if I could find it, you might get a kick out of it like I do?)

So if I access the risk of an attack to a monger on ART 123, I would say you chances are good of witnessing an attack on someone else, or hearing about an attack in the bar, but your chance of getting attacked on the street are almost nil, based on past reports, and the heavy crowds of people on the street, as there are much better streets in TJ of getting attacked.

Now I write about self defense techniques in the small unlikely event you'll be attacked somewhere in TJ. Well, it may be true the majority of mongers have never been involved in fights, and do much better eating doritos, again true. However, choke holds could be a life or death situation, and with adrenaline pumping it just might be enough to get the monger out of a choke hold, and be enough that the cholos leave him, and go after somebody else.

I already told you mind, I don't have any, except for living around a gang infested area when younger, and having to defend myself many times. DariusX, I know they charged you $10 dollars from a mini report you wrote about the place I read somewhere else. Others have been charged only $5 dollars, and $5 dollars is suppose to be the customary charge at least it is with SGs in the alley and surrounding areas. However, in that area many lessor hotels are charging $10 dollars, hopefully the prices will drop?

Yes there are SGs on ART 123, in fact one of my favorite areas in on ART 123 and the corner of Ninos Heroes, by the Paris hotel, sometimes very young and cheap SGs.

From Ninos Heroes to F Martinez, there is really nothing, perhaps a few walkers. Now from F Martinez to Mutualismo if I have the spelling correct, you'll find many Trannys in the night time. I hear the term T-Girl island I'm wondering if this is considered T-gril island? But in the mix you'll also find a few SGs( GG) mostly on the outer edge of ART 123 near the corners of the street, you can tell because they don't dress as nice as the T-girls.
