About the point regarding mongers posting about girlfriends/putas, I agree with FB usually a monger if he has something going with a girl he wont post her name/picture in fact try to dissuade others from her in a futile attempt. That is why I am always amused when some mongers put name of girls on TJA, asking how is she or if she go upstairs or has anyone seen her around !

The taxi think happened with another agency. End result no money paid no charges. The taxis at the border believe they own the border, and can cause problems if they think you are spending money on a chica. They believe the chicas make too much money and they should get more.

I tried using them in early 05...they promised service for $5 to hotel and $5 back...then after 3 days they changed to $10, saying it was "per person." I cut them off as I advertised $10 to $15 for taxi and it was just too much for the service. Later they wanted to give us "VIP" service...meet at the front door at a picnic table for $15 complete....I don't trust them at all as I know that eventually they would be wanting $25 or more.

I believe the border is not a good place to meet an escort, and that is why we don't meet there. Late at night, it is not so bad, as the guys who like to cause trouble are not there.

I am sure that all three: Burt, Fireballs and Skatt can work their plan on going to the Zona, taking cabs, dealing with the police, and all 3 feel their way is best. If it works for you then great.

Myself, I will throw the taxis driver $2 tip, and think nothing of it. If he tries to work me by quoting more than the normal, then I get upset. Others like Fireballs, just say it is not worth it. I guess it is a character flaw with me, as I would rather tell the guy to stick it up his ass than pay his $7 demand...

Everyone can work their own program.

It think it is farily well known that I have some "detractors." To put it mildly, Fireballs has a tendency to play fast and lose with facts. He sometimes twists my posts into something I didn't do/say/imply.

(Which is suspect is part of my problem--if you don't drink I believe people think you are any easy mark.) She whispered something to the waiter. I asked her "que haces" and, of course, she ignored me. Sure enough, the waiter returned with my agua and an expensive drink for her. With a "that isn't what I ordered" I got up and left BT.

I then went to a little taco place. I've been there before, but not recently and doubt they remembered me. I ordered something to go, as I wanted to take something to eat back to my place.

I left with my order wrapped in plastic. When I was about 200 feet outside the door the woman in charge came running after me. She asked to see my chicken tacos. After smelling them she said she thought they were spoiled. She asked me to return so they could prepare new tacos using different (and fresh) ingredients.

While I was there some guys in the Marines (maybe Navy, but clearly military) entered. They'd had something to drink, but were far from drunk. The menu was in Spanish and pesos. They were convinced the waiter was trying to cheat them. I tried to help, but they didn't want my translation skills. What was apparent was they didn't understand the conversion rate. Nobody was trying to cheat them. Yet they were loud and verbally abusive to the waiter.

As I left, in Spanish, I told the staff that it was people like them that sometimes made me embarrassed to be an American. While eating my tacos I reflected on how there are all types of people on both sides of the border.

Another thing your notice is if a monger is really in love he'll never post the name or post a picture of his favorite bar girls....they just never do it. They might do it after they come to their senses and realized it's not love that they have with her. The guys posting pictures or telling us about their favorites probably just like the girl and are promoting her, hoping it helps her out, and really don't care if other guys go upstairs with her. Let’s examine the claim that I put a buddy in harm’s way a little more closely:
--My buddy knew how I respond when people, including cops, try to scam me
--My buddy knew how the cops at the border behave
--By buddy knew I was carrying ED medication
--I was the one who hailed the cab because I decided to return the US
--My buddy knew I was the one paying for the cab
--Thus my buddy made an informed decision to accept a free ride to the border instead of getting his own cab

I don't think he was in harm's way. But if he was indeed in harm's way it was because he made an informed decision to put himself in harm's way.

I have run into this on a few occasions, but you have to have a very open mind. Sometimes guys change the day, or change the clothes she was wearing, just so she cannot blame him..

A guy name HeadinSouth who is a vet of TJ and mongering even made a post a few years encouraging guys to change some facts, but report on the service and price accurately. His angle was that if the chica accused him, he could say something like, I didn't see you on Wednesday, it was a Friday or this says you were wearing a red blouse, but when you were with me, you wore that pretty yellow dress...etc. etc.

That being said, guys do make up shit for whatever reason. I may have posted this one, but here is a good example:

There is a chica I once lived with and she was very possessive. When I was living with another chica she would visit my house and tell her I was on loan, and that she will be with me in the end. She even brought me gifts for my Birthday and Christmas.

So one night after I had become single again, I hear rocks hitting my second story bedroom window at 3am. I look outside and there she is. I go downstairs and let her in. She tells me this story about a goofy white guy that wants to stay with her. He says the chicas all lie to him and play him for a fool, and that he is changing and won't be a victim any longer. So after listening to him, he asks if she will spend the night with him. She agrees under the conditions that he buy her drinks for 2 hours and then meets her outside of the bar at 2:30 when she gets off. He agrees.

At 2:30 she hides in the back and has other girls tell him she has left already. Then she jumps in a taxi and goes to my home unannounced and wakes me up. She tells me the story and then we get busy. She soon falls asleep and the next morning, I am reading a site, and this guy is saying he had an overnight date with this chica for free. When she wakes up, I ask her who was the "career victim" she stood up...and of course it was the guy who posted the story on the other site.

So for whatever reason, guys sometimes do improvise on their stories and accounts with these chicas.

Fireballs makes a convincing arguments dissecting the details as usual. I will let Burt respond to "allegations" about his behaviour if he chooses to. I think most of us mongers on this board make our own opinions based on the postings and the authors, while some may be exaggerated or distorted unfortunately, I think most of us are smart enough to understand that. Now if someone came with outrageously exaggerated report, we have our "forum police" like Fireballs, Burt, Darius, Killit et all to fix it
