In summary, yes, there are cameras in some salons and I detected some in dummy smoke detectors and it has been confirmed to me by some masseuses but recorders, no, that would be crazy for the salons and the masseuses would not accept that.
If you are concerned by the fact that the cute receptionist might be a little voyeur about your "performance" maybe you are too shy.
When you go out, if she asks you how it was with the masseuse just ask her if she had a look on the monitor and what she thinks about it with a wink!

Old beginner, you are not agreeing with mod 11 in your post, you do exactly the contrary. If you have proof of what you say go ahead and tell us. What parlours ? What room ? Where in the room ? You pretend that some parlours have cameras connected in their rooms and that the receptionnists can have a look. That is illegal, unless a clear sign informs you of such cameras, even if no recording is done.

Mod11 and I agree on the the fact that we are convinced that there are no recorders because it would be extremely risky for the salons themselves to do that.

However, Mod11 is insisting for proofs about the presence of cameras but for me it is sufficient that I am convinced that they are hidden in the smoke detectors looking exactly like that: http://educationland.wordpress.com/2010/12/24/hidden-camera-in-schools/ since it has been confirmed by some masseuses themselves.

This thread is going nowhere. We do know that SOME parlors do have cameras, none that I have heard have micros. None of them records. Operators of parlors have to set the commerce to demonstrate they do everything on their hand to prevent any acts of prostitution repeatedly and constantly. In front of LE, cameras work on the side of the operator.

Cameras in parlors are like cameras on the roads, we do know they are there, does is stop drivers to speed, to drive at the left lane when the right lane is free, to change lane with no flasher signal, to use the cellular phone? No. So nothing to worry. Have fun and hobby safely.

I work in a field related to surveillance and the company do sell camera systems. For my crew, the rule is simple, even if we did not install cameras in a room, somebody else might have done so. This mean we always assume we are being watched, unless at home or in a reputable hotel room.

I do not know about the legality of cameras in bathrooms but I can tell some well known companies (nothing to do with sex) have cameras everywhere except bathrooms and locker rooms. They still have cameras pointed at the doors going to these rooms.

For a massage parlor, there is not supposed to be nudity in there so, on paper, there is nothing wrong with a camera in the room. Some legit massage places have the massage tables in the open, in quiet section of bigger rooms and it is accepted by customers.

I agree with the people who say a MP recording encounters would be stupid. The recordings will be seized and used against them if there is a bust. A voyeuristic owner or receptionist is the only risk I can think of, unless you are a well-known public personality or you are filthy rich to the point it can be worth blackmailing you.

NG, when you say that you saw the video, do you mean you saw it on the net? or she showed you at the studio? most cameras in parlors are set for direct viewing and to keep the last 24 hours in memory only. most of the viewing is done under the frontdesk. one place (on de maisonneuve) is set in a way that the owner can access viewing from its residence.

cameras are necessary to the owners to make sure the receptionnist is honnest in the number of clients she reports to the boss. but this is cameras at the entrances (front and back). in the rooms, SOME of use know for being (or having been) in relation with an actor in the scene.

if and only if, there are scenes on the net like on youporn or on massage-parlor.com, they have been with the consent of both parties (and even third partie).

note: most of the clients do not have the physical for the job anyway ! LOL

And I hope you get the consequence of nudity on the legality of a surveillance camera, recording or not, pointed at the massage table or matress.

as long as the certificate of occupancy delivered by the municipality is for an erotic place if the "therapist" is nude, evidently the client can be nude for either a therapeutic massage at a clinic or for an erotic massage if he is in a massage parlor that is located in the proper city limit.

Yes, in every room and they are strategically positioned to have a full view of the room, directly or with the aid of the mirrors. If they were real smoke detectors, they would be positioned diferently like on top of the entry door.

guys, think of this: how come the receptionnist leads you to the room, tells your masseuse will join you after you've took your shower ? hum hum!
how does she knows how long is your shower and when you're done? how come the masseuse never shows up before you get in the spa? very questionable isn't? most places, the monitor is underneath the desk at the entrance. why do you think the receptionnist is always sit back to the wall if not to watch the monitor? let say you have an empty cup of coffee you want to dispose, you will notice the receptionnist will take it from you but will not let you dump it in the garbage can underneath her desk.

Are there cameras at the MPs, and if so, why? I have read some old discussions on the topic, but nobody "in the know" has definitively admitted or denied the use of them. I suspect that most clients would not like their private sessions recorded and then shown to somebody, particularly through posting on the internet. Should this be a concern? Thanks.
