I have a perennial problem with cash. I have to go out of my way to an ATM. ATMs keep running out of money. Many ATMs only serve high-denomination notes. Wallet gets fat and looks like a overgrown hip. Have to literally sit making a 60 degree angle with the seat.

There are two options.
Either load 2000 rs notes in each pocket whichwill not trouble you much and if u need change than ask waiters to bring change, they will cut some amount but you don’t have to take headache of carrying small denomination at bar.
The next best thing is if you have credit cards with higher credit limit than use that in db ob ( i prefer credit card usage) and later pay in bank by cash or through your account.

All this talk of money spent got me thinking. Thankfully, I am a good record-keeper. I browsed through my spending records and did a quick analysis. Realized that ever since I started mongering in SB/HB/DBs (i.e. since May 2019) I have spent close to Rs. 60,000 on this. That averages Rs. 15,000 per month. Interestingly, about 12.5% of this i.e. Rs. 7,500 is only on travel.
While I can afford this, I still don't think it is worth it. The thing about such guilty pleasures is that they are subject to the Law of Diminishing Marginal Utility. Each mongering trip gives you lesser pleasure than the previous jig. Maybe I should quickly check off the remaining two items on this journey (OB visit and Entry) and call it a day.
Unfortunately, these waves of mongering keep hitting me and I almost always overdo it. These waves started years ago with the Gentleman's Clubs in the US and went through the Strip Clubs of Baltimore to the seedy Sois of Bangkok, the premium of Body Spas of Pattaya to the Casinos of Colombo. Each of these waves led to over-indulgence, followed by a reduction in the excitement and finally ended up as existential dilemmas and led to quitting. They also left me that much richer in terms of experience.
My advice to those who are going through their first waves is simple
KEEP IT SHORT AND SWEET !!!!
These things are best appreciated as happy memories in one corner of your mind. There are more forms of entertainment in the world. Do not get stuck on this. Go beyond. Get over it.
