Even after the Ban on DB in 2005, it took 1 to 2 years for them to start again with exploring the loopholes in the system.
In my opinion it will be back but will take time.First let's see when the lockdown ends officially. The State govt may even hike licence fee to get revenue.

Daily positive patients count is 1K+ here. Even quarantined centers are insufficent now. 2-3 families ( Asymptomatic people whose family member is positive ) are staying in same flat/ rooms at such quarantine centers. I want to speak more in detail about testing but it's not a good platform. Government is about to implement those MHADA, MMRDA, SRA's vacant flats to seve as quarantine centers. Maybe lodges are next to serve if situation degrades further. Imagine what will be the situation in upcoming weeks.

Asymptomatic overconfident individuals are going to act as a medium to spread coronavirus. Overall it's immunity game but no government will take a risk by permitting crowd gathering.

If someone thinks he does gymming daily, eats healthy food & virus is not going to screw him then he's wrong. I have seen people with good fitness found positive too. Youngsters proportion is more in this. Anyways who takes it lightly, get ready to become infected & give a gift to your family a two weeks trip of a quarantine center.

Agree with this link, but that's not how the babu operates; for them it is a calendar date and extensions are not given. Was speaking to a few hotel managers (whatsapp, Bharti, Deepika, Baywatch etc).

They've all been asked to renew all licenses and also the cops have been taking their weekly pound of flesh with the caveat, they if you do not pay per the agreed rates now, on opening you will have to pay 3-4 times the rates. So given this scenario, I think the alcohol prices will only increase and with the all the other incremental charges. Even the tips will become a burden now and everyone from the doorman to the steward to the captain, tipping all will probably mean the cost of a beer itself!

Also, I have heard (University of Whatsapp), that certain lodges may become COVID detention centres as well, as the government cannot take up starred hotels, so these cheap lodges could be a good way forward.
