another blunder.....read the thread through...as stated earlier I have been (a couple of times in fact)....and as an architect who has designed clubs and other public spaces i have issues with the place not just on design but also how it is run (safety wise)

if you think going to Sounds is being "in the know" I feel sorry for you....

When we should leave it was a long cue to get into the elevator and some stupid drunk people could of course not stand in the cue and wait so they had to sneak, it almost ended up in a fight.....
And when people could get into the elevator it was to many people in the elevator and the elevator doors would not close because to many people inside, no people want to go out so the elevator could go down.....
When we got into the elevator to go down the alarm was beeping all the way down.....

long shorts and slides (rather than flip flops) with a colored shirt would be fine I am sure for entry....in fact I have been in dressed that way....don't count on picking up girlies in Sound its not really a P4P venue as such

Not surprised coming back down was worse.

I thought I heard an alarm from the broken lift that night, but could tell if it was part of the music or not. I wish the stickers were taken off the elevator's glass walls so you could again look in/out of the elevator.

Even with two elevators and effective staff, I think there could be a lot of waiting with large events. I wish stairs were an option.

It's too bad a solid event can get messed up by simple logistics.

There ARE stairs! Not outdoors either.

I went down via that route on opening night as the lift was too busy come kicking out time.

I was there too. Great music of course, but the club has issues with drink service and air conditioning! I was there util about 1pm. Was had to get a drink at the bar and I was sweating!!!! Bailed on Benny and went to Tiger with my squeeze and had more fun.

In my opinion, SOUND.......6 outta 10!:whistle:

The point was that here in Thailand it is one of the safest clubs I have seen.

I stand by my thoughts that it's safer than a thatched roof, wired by Somchai, beer bar.

Definitely not my favourite venue. Thought the layout of the place was poor at best. Not really suited for dancing at all, in my opinion, unless you crammed up on the platform.

Good crowd, but it never really got started. Too many chairs and tables and other obstacles. I even got lost in the labyrinth there at times. (And the couple on the table --- right in front of the DJ stand! --- was sitting there chatting all evening and seemed even bothered by the music.)

I would reckon the crowd was 95%+ farang. Reminded me too much of home.
