i had a soapy and loved every minute of it, best fun in the world and i personaly would not worry about genital to genital contact in that department. I think we should be aware, but do risk becoming a touch too paranoid! life is a risk so i intend to live it without comitting suicide. i.e having as much fun without jumping off the cliff!

It is strange to see the ad up above here that says "Live healthy and happy with HIV."

Of course, it is nice for someone who has HIV to be encouraged that they could still be "healthy" and happy, instead of being depressed and suicidal.

But really, if someone has HIV, are they really healthy. I don't think so, because they have a very deadly coneforum.xxxious disease that will effect them for the rest of their live most likely, and probably shorten their lives.

And it doesn't seem to me to be the right message to send out on a forum like this, because, unfortunately, I think that if people really think that they can be healthy and happy living with AIDS, then some people will think that it is no big deal, just take some pills and their life will be on different, and, therefore, why bother with condoms.

They seem to be forgetting about non-Africans who don't have "numerous infectious and parasitic diseases" which are endemic in their own country but still have "HIV" and then "AIDS" at a later date without treatment.
Maybe the paper was sponsored by the government and the writers are now living in rather large houses. Would they have unprotected sex with an HIV positive girl? I doubt it.

As to healthy I kinda dissagree.. Of course they are carriers but anyone whose CD4 level is above 200 and thier viral loads are low ARE healthy.. They are as healthy as anyone else with an immune system of that level.. Of course maintaining that over the long term.. Maintaining muslce mass.. Staying infection free from opportunistic infections is all part of being an HIV carrier but with current drugs a HIV infected person can be as healthy as anyone else with care for many years.

Again, where I can find an actual picture of a HIV virus?

JayBee Did these guys get tested before or only after if they werent tested before they could have already been infected think about 10 years how many times youve had unproteced sex.

I have question slightly off topic if you have unproteced sex which happens going by the responses here as it has happened to me we were both very drunk she had alwasys been quick to make sure we used a condom this time no. I did not know till we changed positions, i thought its to late to worry about infections after 20 mins or so, but i asked her if she took the pill she said yes next morning asked again. After i had explain what the pill was response was no same problem with TG if they dont understand she says yes. No one here seems to worry about getting them pregnant do any of the BGs use the pill?

She does seem just a tad paranoid. Sure, HIV is a big issue, but with reasonable precautions the risk is very low.
The statement of 1 in 60 being HIV+ and that the bulk of the other 59 is not in the sex industry is a little naive, given the fact that most Thai men prefer not to use condoms, and the little lady at home is just as much at risk of getting it....

From what I can find in research, less than 30 cases of HIV being contracted via oral sex has been documented. This out of many millions. Standard STD's are a much bigger problem as far as oral sex is concerned. I cannot find any documented cases of F to F infection either.

Be careful out there, but live while you're alive.

Can you share any links about oral sex contraction of HIV ?? I have found nothing at all to show that recieving oral has any risk, would like to read any data please.

I think it is misleading to think "so few" catch the disease, I have read reports and warnings from Ireland and UK and Scandinavia that the vast majority of heterosexual cases that are being diagnosed in native born people(not immigrants for Africa in other words) are people who contracted it in Thailand. I do not think most of them come back to tell their stories. So bottom line, just be cautious.

I figure that if there is any difference in reported HIV transmission route here in Thailand is probably more likely down to people not answering truthfully questions on how they got the virus.

Can't Imagine that many Thais admitting to **** sex, gay sex or injecting drug use.

Besides how would it account for the fact that HIV cases in Thailand are 70%+ males? especially when it's far easier for women to catch than men.

I agree that you do not hear of the guys who caught it....

But if you add the intercauses with bg, all over Thailand, then it is a miracle that all the scene has not disseapeared. k new girls and guys everyday, but luckily,
to catch it, is not that easy as you think!

Wich explains that the disease origannealy spread more among homosexuals because the sperm got in contact with the blood. They say that circonsized man also have a lower risk, because there is less contact!

This for saying if you have save se* you must not get paranoid either!

Has anybody here ever interviewed BGs about HIV? Cause I do believe that one can learn a lot about the extent and threat of this disease through questioning the potential source (for us at least). Are they aware of the dangers of their trade? Or at least a substantial number of them? Do they consequently use rubbers? I dare to doubt that, having read a lot of stuff in this forum and seen them in action.

Anyway this would be a very practical approach to this problematic, which concerns all of us to some extent at least...

All the stuff that normal people know about hiv is the common: The chanses of getting it from a BJ is 0.01%. Almost only gays gets it etc etc.
