It is about time that I contribute !
I live between Nice & Cannes and when I have the urge I look-up the following 2 web-sites (basic knowledge of french is probably required):
1. http://www.missive.info/contact.php?geo=FR&p=2
2. http://rencontres.vivastreet.fr/annonces-rencontres
These are nation wide sites so you need to sort on "departement" (one of the 90 + french administrative areas). NICE/CANNES are located is "06", neighboring dept. is "83" (Var).
Prices are around 150

About Nice, I'll try to give you some information, after all, it's the place where I was born and I know how it goes on.
- Street walkers, all along the sea side from the airport to Hotel Meridien, in Rue de France, some girls in the day, many at night. They mostly come from eastern countries and are used to work in cars, they charge 30

I haven't had an opportunity to try this, since I have a second home in the area, but has anyone considered just asking the hotel's concierge (the guy with the crossed gold keys lapel pin who sits at a separate desk in the lobby) if he can arrange to have a reasonably attractive anglophone lady sent to your room or suite? This is France, after all, so they're not generally going to treat the male need for periodic ejaculation as a matter for finger-pointing and scandal.

As it happens, I have a second home in Antibes, between Nice and Cannes. I plan to be there roughly the last week of June and all of July 2007. I will try to update this thread if there is anything I can usefully add. This is right-wing National Front and Jean-Marie Le Pen territory, so this might yet prove to be an exercise in futility.

For the uninitiated, the National Front is a far-right French political party founded by Le Pen. Le Pen was a French paratrooper who committed outrageous atrocities against Algerians before France cut Algeria loose, and he doesn't regret a bit of it! He is well over 70 and is sort of France's version of Dick Cheney!

Brits, Aussies and others, please add your own cultural troglodytes.

Unfortunately I have to agree with everything that was said before. No good action to be had in Nice. I've just come back from a month there. Some of the girls on the Promenade de Anglais were cute but I don't like to do it in the car and I didn't feel like taking one back to my place. Ah well, money saved.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you Honeysuckle - been away most of July.

I'm inclined to agree with Neil Martindale - if there is good action to be found in Nice I/we didn't find it! Stayed in Le Meridien (which is at No 1 Promenade des Anglais and went to a club just around the corner (it was the same block as the hotel and either on Rue Halevy or the little road connecting Halevy with Ave Gustave V) and on the recommendation of the senior barman!! AVOID this place - it's all promise (very expensive promise) and no substance. You have to buy a bottle a champagne to enjoy a girl's company (at 200 Euros a time), which the girl polishes off pretty sharpish (and then you have to get another). A colleague (I'm pleased to say it wasn't me!) optimistically stumped up for two and all he got was the girl's company - no sex, no bj, no hand job, nothing! And if all that's not bad enough they put an extra two bottles through on his credit card!!

On a more positive note, we did find a reasonable strip club up near the station (aren't they always!). Sorry, I can't remember the name but I think it was just off Rue Belgique (at the Ave Thiers end). From memory, entry was 20 Euros and I think it was 20 Euros for a lap dance and maybe twice that if they took you off for the special private dance - didn't have one myself but I don't think the guys that did got jerked off or anything.

Am visiting Nice in May - can anyone offer any advice on the local scene?

Will be with a few like minded colleagues so am particually interested in any clubs especially those offering something more than just lap dancing.

Would also like to know what the going rate is locally?
