After reading this thread, I had to try one of these foot massages. I went into one of the nameless places on Bellaire. I had no idea that there were so many of these places around. It seems like every shopping center had one along that stretch of road. It turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend an hour. I'm hoping that she pressed on a spot that will lighten up my grey hair and cause me to drop 10 pounds by the morning. Thanks for bringing this to light Dad.

Good review. That is definitely a good way to end up with a lot better activities and friendship than is normally to be found. It doesn't have to involve a foot massage, but the same type of approach has worked for me lots of times over the years.

It must be a coincidence that this original post and this reply match up with the ones on ERAPS May 13-16. Only thing different is the screen name.

Many strip centers even have 2 of them. Almost like Nail Salon phenomenon all over again. Heck, even some Nail places and some traditional massage places are now adding "Foot Massage" to their Menus.

It is great for us because it will keep the price down at $20 to $30 per hour.

I agree Vi's is good. Try Lisa there and spring for the full body massage $45/hr or $60/1.5hr. She gives a great chinese massage in private room which ends up being a very nice slippery FBSM including bumps and brushes. She covers every inch that is legal.

My fav $20 Foot Massage on Bellaire is a new one at Mary Bates and Bellaire. Ask for a chinese female named Fand. Ive tried half a dozen places.

I agree with you both. Getting a massage from a male is like going to the doctor and can be very therapeutic physically, but from a female you get the therapeutic benefits plus the fantasy that she will somehow be overcome by how frickin hot you are and jump your bones. The energy in the room is very different.

I used to be male-therapist phobic but one day I was in really bad shape in my back with sciatica and fibromyalgia. A male therapist trained in Rolfing techniques fixed me by releasing a rotated vertebrae. Saved me back surgery so now I have a different attitude toward male therapists.
