Closing arguments have been made about 50 days ago. My lawyer speculated that the judge should make a decision in 15 days, so we are waiting.

I hear the judge can take a year, but I don't know why she would.

If she looks at all the testimony I don't know how she could convict us.

One officer testified that he was not present, and was instructed what to write in his manifest.

A State official, walked right past me and asked where I was while no more than 5 feet from him...in front of the court reporters and judge's assistant.
His "confession" did not have a signature for a certified translator, so it gets thrown out....plus it did not have my signature on it either.

The four police witnesses, all testified that their manifests were written by the police, and they were forced to sign or go to prison. All four were word for word the same thing, with only the names being different on each one.

Country John has the bail receipt and no one else can claim it but him, when the judge does make her decision.

More than a year and a half has gone by since sampsonrico's arrest.

Has the case settled? Bail returned?

Now this gets even more confusing. The $3000 bribe money the Mystery guy lost, was lost to the corrupt TJ cops who pulled a double cross. Or it may have been to only save the Mystery guy's ass, who really knows?

The Tijuana lawyer wanted $10,000, or at least $5000 down, but was talked into only accepting $3500 dollars( retainer)( again very good sources tell me this is true) This is why it was hard to raise the almost $ 10,000 in bail money to get Sampson out of prison, because the money went to the attorney, who at the time Sampson believed skipped with the money because he wasn't bailed out, which proved not true, that the attorney was working after all, but needed more bail money to release Sampson.

So is it possible that the $3000 bribe money was really bribe money, and the Mystery guy, wasn't double crossed...that out of the Mystery Guy's good heart he put up the $3000 dollars? Now i'm really confused, and don't believe the story if that is what is being said?

Hopefully when this is over, not only will Sampson tell us what happened, but the mystery guy will tell us his role, and to what extent is in involved with escorts, just a good customer, silent parner, or something else?

Well I can comment on that. I didn't know what was happening on the outside, and then this lawyer that I didn't know told me I was going to be out on a certain day. When that didn't happen, I thought that my bail may have been collected and he stole it. I was wrong though, but when Brother Rapp sent me a message, I told him to tell my family that I think he stole the money.

I had been lied to for so long, that it was very difficult for me to trust anyone. I pannicked, but I felt if I didn't tell Rapp, that I may not have any contact with anyone for days or weeks. I know a lot more now, about what happened leading up to my arrest and the aftermath.

Now there are lawyers on the outside of the prison that can visit inmates. Only family can visit, so I was not getting visits except from my lawyer. When this lawyer came in with a message, I thought it may be the last chance I would have to communicate that. I asked him to call the US embassay as they had visited once, and I wanted them to look into what was happening. If my lawyer had not indicated that I was going to be free, I would not have done what I did.

I hope Sampson is not ready to raise his hands and throw in the towel, and say to the Mexican justice system, I'm guilty and should have known better, now do to me as you wish because I'm ready to face the music.

Putting yourself at the mercy of this Mexican court could be equivalent to signing your own death warrant? There has been a few reports coming in that Sampson isn't even eating, bathing, or changing his underwear! I feel Sampson should fight these charges tooth and nail, to the best of his ability especially since their is obvious an political element to the arrest.

Everybody has to make their own decision if they want to help or not with Sampson's defense fund. I myself am a little leary that his ex-wife is handling everything from out of town even to the point of giving out her checking account number to make it easy to pass the money to her. Wives and especially ex-wives are a funny breed and there is a thin line between LOVE and HATE with them. { if it were my wife she would leave in to rot to teach me a lesson, and maybe after a few weeks she would bail me out} Lets hope Sampson's ex wife is a little more understanding than normal loving wives?

Lets hope others step up closer to the Tijuana scene and help out Sampson as $9000 dollars isn't really that much.

I can say this with 100% confidence, both Burt and CJ wrote things that are incorrect in the below highlighted posts. They are however not mean-spirited and just a lot of speculation. I don't believe either meant to pass on mis-information, but thought their words were true at the time.

I of course will write the truth after the case is settled.

And I agree with most of the things you wrote about manifestation, especially in the US, where I have been subject to US cops harassments and threats, when I was only caught with a street hooker in my car. Man did they put the fear of God into me and what could happen to me if I'm caught in the area again, for a few weeks anyways and then I was back. There is no question in my mind the TJ cops can do the same thing to a gringo monger caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I have to admit, I feel for Sampson. But, he took the risk and he should be prepared to face the music. After much soul searching I personally cannot see myself sending money to bail a TJ pimp out of jail. I already donated at *************. But, I do wish him the best.

Yes there are a few guys who don't like Sampson for one reason or another, mostly not liking his line of work, and would make things up. I assure you I'm not one of them, I have always been fairly neutral towards Sampson and the business, and even positive at times, and negative when I felt it necessary and didn't agree with what Sampson or another escort promoter was saying.

The information I received were from fairly neutral sources, and I think accurate? But hey I'm willing to wait till Sampson explains himself more fully, and tell us what roll the mysterious guy played in this affair?

One thing that always made me believe the story is I never heard of the 'mysterious guy' giving any money for the release of Sampson from prison. I felt that maybe he gave enough with that $3000 bribe and double cross?

Then there was that news blackout on that other site which would have made PRAVDA proud with the amount of news that was being censored......what were they scared of, and what did they want to cover up?

But I'll wait till Sampson case is over to hear the 'TRUTH' if there is such a thing. I think this topic has wide interest, just look at the amount of hits, but I think it's making others uncomfortable, as postings are down a little, but lurking is way up.

So does anybody else have something else to talk about perhaps in another thread?

Burt I don't like your examples because they are not clear enough on what's going on. Yeah, I'll give you that if your walking out of a nice restaurant with a Mexican sex worker dressed decent you won't get bothered.

However, I'm talking what's really most likely going to take place. The TJ cops see a 50 year old or older gringo with a 18, 19,, or 20 year old Mexican hot girl getting into a cab in an area where it's known to TJ police that escorts meet gringo customers from escort agencies. I say the gringo runs the risk of getting stopped and questioned, and if there are two cops they will separate you two and if the stories don't match, they will call you a LIER, and tell you exactly what your doing there, because the escort you are with will tell them, because it's you that have the bribe money. The TJ cops might ask you if your married, and then grab your cell phone, and say they are going to call the number that says "HOME" Or they might grab your business card, and say they want to call where you work. Now of course everybody is welcomed to stand up to the TJ cops just like Burt, maybe go on a 45 minute ride in the back of a police car, hey if you stick it out, the TJ cops might even let you go?

Or you can go to the zona and have a risk free encounter with a licensed sex worker in AB, Hong Kong, or a number of bars in the zone of tolerance, where the TJ cops will never brother you for prostitution related situations, unless you are out of the zona.
