Ha ha, happened to me. I said to him, I am not walking downstairs to get free tickets and then walking back up (in my broken thai).

So I just left.

Anyway my oppinion of the club, is that it is a welcomed change. Like many people have stated before, the music in all the clubs are bad. It is nice to hear different music (although most of it is not my style).

There is a new club as well I got a flyer for in Paradise, which plays RnB, Rap, Hip Hop etc. I'm just scared to walk down the darkside street

But I am impressed with seduction, and also someone mentioned it being like a club at home, which I totally relate to. Maybe sucks if back in yoru own country but nice here.

LivinLOS what you sasy is so true though. you have to keep it broad and fun for everyone. The problem is you cannot have themed nights, since most punters are there for 1-2weeks of holiday and you still got to keep the main crowd inside. The other thing as well, is that Farang won't go to a place without girls (usually) so they need to attract some of the FL's there, so they know if they want to pick up a lady they can.

I do not understand the free entry and 50baht drinks - cannot be making any money and the majority of the customers are tourists so arent going to even be here to continue going when the prices go up. Yes the place is busier now but was all the effort and money on kitting the place out as nicely as they have done worth it for what now could be done in an empty warehouse?

Before it was getting there just a little quiet. Suspect panic measures over genuine promotion.

Stayed for only one drink there last night. Was put off by drunken flashpackers who seem unable to change out of their daytime wear and usual farang girls making massive assumptions from their cosseted perspectives.

Though from the little i heard the music seemed better.

Agree with LiL. Funky, happy house will give a decent club sound and will give opportunity enough for the DJ's not to bore the public. Use tunes with a lot of vocals as tunes without vocals are normally less appriciated in Patong.
There are plenty good, known club tunes that can be played which are good for a club atmosphere and recognisable enough for a broad public to have a wide spectrum of guests made happy.
Wander from this to styles close related so that they fit into the sets. Do not switch styles blatantly as the result is a swing in mood and music experience.
I know hip hop is probably the most popular music style for other 'clubs' in town but I would try to stay away from this as possible. Use some influences out of the old style but do not play only hip hop. Also you wil differentiate yourself with a clear music policy.

T-Train, you say you are testing the waters. I think it was probably better to set a clear music policy and try that for a while. Just switching is not testing but merely confusing the public. You couldalways adjust the set policy to more please the crowd and react on comments.

They opened today, I planned to give them a visit but unfortuneately they closed 2 am. I did had a peek at 02:45 thought when staff cleaning up.

It did look lot smaller than 3 months ago, the second floor is bigger now and the dance floor looked small when bars and chairs/tables is in place along the sides. It doesnt look bad but I was maybe expecting more from the talk and rumours before.

They will close 04 am from now on, there may be a private party tomorrow before public is allowed to join.

Today people got free drinks... The guy I talked to who was there earlier said it was good and comfortable chairs. The same guy said he would not go there if beers is going to cost 300 baht, but he had no idea of prices as everything was free today.

I will be back in coming days to see the light and sound in action...

Instead me and Ead went to Tiger disco, packed and crowded as usual, 35% farangs and the rest girls. I do think a disco without freelancers may not be so bad, as Tiger disco is too crowded for me.

Agree with TTB..

Finding a style and then working around that into sub genres and closely related styles will keep the vibe fine.. If you find something really works then pursue it but dont just go.. House.. Hip hop.. Rap.. R&B.. House.. Work around a style leaning in small steps to different sounds feeling out the crowd. Basic DJ skill really.

I thought it was nicer at Rio about a year ago when it was a bit more upscale with the big chairs in front and sofas inside. Speakers in front could be ok if it kills the boxing noise.

For those who are intrested, this wednesday the 14th we are having a beach party at Seduction Discotheque. We thought we would bring the beach into the discotheque. It going to happen every Wednesday, but this Wednesday is the grand opening of the party. The dance floor will be sand and the bars will be the traditional bamboo beach bars, plus a lot more. Check it out and see for yourself.

Now been to Seduction on 3 nights. My personal impression is that it is a good addition to Patong nightlife. Most people with me were also mostly positive. Standard of interior, lighting, sound etc are good. A real dancefloor add to positive impression, eventhough I am not a dancer myself....

DJ need to improve. Some good tunes but music styles too much all over the place, what seems to be a problem in Patong nightlife anyway. A lot of 'older' songs being played. Good thing was that they were actually playing some vinyl as well.

They have a few girls dancing on the podium on the dancefloor as entertainment. They should be replaced by real dancers. 1 girl could have potential but seems tired after a few minutes. Others just not good enough, more gogo style dancing and not appropriate for a new club with higher standards.

A strange thing in my opinion is that the only serve San Miguel beer. Believe no other beers on offer. Also no drink menu available as yet, which they should get. Can not really comment on drink prices as most have been complimentary drinks. They keep on giving drink coupons away on Bangla.

Indeed it looks that Joe, formerly RH, is involved in the management. Spoke very briefly with him last night and not asked who plays which role in the management team.

There is a VIP room upstairs. Believe I will be able to enter as I have a kind of 'member' card. Do not know what benefits might be but will let you know later.

All together I think I will be frequenting Seductions rather frequently. Never been a fan of Tiger and Tai Pan and go so once in a while to Baya Beach but Seduction will see me more. Patong needed some more quality entertainment and I think Seduction will finds its place in the market.

We had a lot of fun there. Many female tourists if you are looking for them.
And a new stylish place to go dancing. IMHO much nicer than tiger and the welcome drink, if you like tequila, is a nice idea (if you bring the voucher). Clean restrooms, up to date sound and light effects. Sometimes a little bit to cold, the AC can kill you if you stand at the wrong spot too long. Lets see how long it stays that way. The best vibes after midnight 1 am.
