I am not sure, but my missus (Thai) has always told me not to get caught up with LB's. Having said that, as you probably know, if they have hold of you Ie: marriage or other, they are not keen on you mixing with any other Thai people of any sex until they know them, which as you know can be a long process.

I should have been more specific.

I can only speak from experience, which has been very sober, a wallet safely kept in deep pockets, my self and my family (mum, dad, sister, cousin) sitting at a bar and the LB's came up for photos ($), talking for a bit, flashed them self's n grabbed my dads hand and made them feel his/her tits..

Besides that on 2 occasions (not in the exact same situation or order), Ive not had anything to do with the LB's. - I am cautious of them (as i am with all people who i do not know), but I think the idea that they are all out to pick pocket you and what not, is not the case.

I've never felt I had to watch my back from anything participating in the nightlife of Patong (more the front cupping!), but I find it good general practice to not get so hammered I'm unable to determine my whereabouts in a different, unfamiliar place - without anyone to watch over me.

If I was a suspect individual, I surely would choose the mindless, drunk, barely-able-to-walk over the prey that can hold his balance. No need to advertise an open invitation to your belongings.

Back to thread, if it wasn't for Patong "special" type of night life I think it is one of the few places I have been too that when I leave my hotel room I don't think I wonder if any one will speak to me, more I know I am going to meet new people and I am going to have a laugh! That underlying "offer" in bars means you get chatty and and play games with BG you meet lots of other blokes who are bored with normal holidays. This was my second time after two years, I diddnt have a holiday last year and it was the best thing I have done in those two years, missing my LOS and going to try for 2/3 weeks next June. This is Disney for adults, and I still remember the toads from my first ever GoGo bar, but holidays are about memories and mine always make me smile when I think about the nights in Patong. I am off to work in half hour, got the Patong 2011 YouTube by Plahgat on my IPhone so when I need a little lift I watch it!

Well there are plenty of rides, depending on the season how long you have too queue for your turn, some rides are worth the money, some of the "workers" dress up in costumes "cough" so I have been told.... well the bar on the right in Tiger...... when it rains the rides get busy, any souvenirs are the kind that might need antibiotics, when you go to "eat" be careful you don't find nuts, if you lucky the ride lasts more then 2 minutes, some of the rides don't move and you have to do most of the interaction, when you find a good ride you will go back to it a few times, sometimes you do get wet on a ride, LT pass is better value then a ST pass unless you intend to visit more then one attraction in a day, but a weekly pass or GFE pass seems the best option if you don't like queuing.
