You are very lucky with your experence with the bar girl that did not rob you.
The last time I was in Bangkok in March 2006 and having stayed in Amari
( They dont ask the girls to deposit the ID's ) I ended up with a girl that I picked up from Soi Cow boy. The moment I was in my shower after the show ended she was busy looking for quick pick at my room. ( I always keep my wallet and other valubales in the room safe .lucky me !!) She even opened the long desk pad and opened the little cover that was kept to keep few dollars for the orphanage kids!! to see if she could pick up some quick cash ...
I quickly packed her up as I dint want to take chance. The following moring I went to the bath room to brush my teeth and found that she had flicked every thing in the toilet including my shaving cream, gyl and the funniest part she even flicked my USED TOOTH BRUSH !! may be to clean her .........!!
These days I keep nothing in open... even my bathroom items are in the Safe Box......

Hi SMF,

Wish I could get back there in July as lots of BM's will be there at the same time but realistically have to say that it will not be until 2007 probably. We just do not get a lot of vacation here in the US and in my case I do not make any money while I am on vacation as I am an independent contractor and do not get paid holidays.

Also in case you are planning on calling her remember to go to one of the ethnic shops and buy a phone card. TDC charges 17.50 danish per minute and with the phonecard it's more like 0.17 Danish - quite a difference

Hi SMF,

I am butting in here, but don't be too concerned about the generic pills. I use TDFIL (Cialis copy) and Seyagra (Viagra copy) both made in India and both work fine. In fact if anything the Seyagra works faster than the real thing as it appears to have a much thinner coating than Viagra so disolves faster I suspect.

If you use the Cialis coppy, I suggest you use the 20mg version as the 10mg seems to take a long time to kick in and it is very sensitive to booze. The Seyagra does not seem to be affected by being 3-sheets to the wind.

I was paying $9.21 per 50mg here in the US for Viagra, I now pay $1.42 for the Seyagra.

Savoy restaraunt is good but if you want to try some real thai food go to sai nam yen road and eat noodle soup at one of the local thai eateries cost 30baht also if you like spicy food you must try salad papaya its an issan dish so its very hot and spicy cost about 60baht. I can also reccoment lem sin beach 20 minutes north of patong beach it is the best beach in Phuket IMO.

How was the hotel you stayed at did they have a joiner fee? was the room nice?

I have known her for 1 year now. Met her last April and have visited her 4 times in Thailand. She's gonna stay here for at least 6 weeks, maybe 9 weeks if I can get the visa extended. The maximum amount of days you can get a visa for is 90 by the way.

The rules for the tourist visa is actually pretty easy. The most important part is that you can put up a bank guarantee for her. If you can do that then they will give you the visa without a doubt. The bankguarantee is around 52.000 danish and you have to set it up with your bank about it. I paid 400,- for setting it up and then around 300,- danish every 3 months in costs. Once she is back in Thailand she can go to the embassy and prove that she's home and then the bankguarantee will be released again. Otherwise it is locked for 18 months.

With the wife already in LOS visiting the family in Bangkok and me still home in freaking cold Denmark, I was just looking through my old posts and was reading this my first trip report dating back to April 2006.

I had never forgotten about this, but again I was surely happily surprised to read it.

The girl I mentioned is the one I am now married to! :love3:

It was sort of love at first sight, but still a lot of girls had to run through the river before we finally met up. Back in April she had only been working for a few weeks and basically spoke no English. Now she both speaks English and can do a light conversation in Danish!

SMF thats fantastic... stories like this give the rest of us hope! ie. that Thailand isn't just one big fantasyland that vanishes from your life when you return home... how romantic that you ended up married to the girl you first fancied 18 months ago! What happened to Oa? Did you ever see her again? I feel like there should be a "one off field report" ... telling us the story of how you went from spring 2006 with Oa... to being married to the non-speaking stunner?
