I have known about adultmb for a while, but it took the bad things going down me me to join.

I told a couple people I trust about it, they have joined.

Should I, or they (or you) tell more people about this board?

I have been telling people that I know AND have seen about this board. Most already knew about it, but some did not.

All activities on this board are monitored. So happy that I am on the Canadian side of the border. They can monitor me all they want. On this side of the border it is legal.

One thing that many Americans forget, is that just because it is legal in Canada, doesn't mean that you can't prosecuted in the USA for activities outside of the USA.

For example, if you are 19 or 20, you can drink in Ontario. When you cross back across the border and if you still have a hint of alcohol on you when crossing back into Michigan, you can be charged for drinking underage.

There are other examples more directly related to this board, but I don't think it is necessary to go into more details.

Actually, I think the charge would be minor in possesion. But you are correct that a US citizen can be charged in the US for activities outside the country.

That said, if you don't say or do anything illegal you should be safe from prosecution... so don't say or do anything illegal.

Great advice! People were getting pretty careless. Ladies were getting very explicit in their posts. There is nothing illegal with spending time with someone, but it is illegal to exchange money for sex.

I found this board while searching google back in August for info on why one of the other boards were down. I think that just about anyone can find it if they are looking.

I found the 2 shut down boards the same way long ago. I didn't pass along info about them and always figured if someone wants to find one they can.

I am looking forward to being a member here, I do not know how far the feds will go in their search of members on the old boards. I do think I would be a little concerned if I was a paying member of one of them and used Paypal to do it.

As for the other boards, it seems from the afidavit (I was emailed it from a friend that got it from a news site) they wanted the heads of the board for acting like pimps and getting money. It read like they were getting 10's of thousands of dollars at the parties. They were paid to facilitate prostitution, so when it comes down to it an illegal enterprise thus racketeering

It also mentions a mother of a 17 year old girl, but reading it that was actually scorps and the old scorps board. In other words that part was years old and didn't have to do with the 2 recent boards. Though they had been keeping track of Scorps since, it is clear. So his helping the owners of the other boards set the other boards up to be brought down.

Not specifically the parties, the charging for them, or subscribtions. Tho the attention some got from people not involved at the parties didn't help.

The initial announcement of the arrests made it fairly clear that the FBI knows illegal things happen and they aren't interested in, or have the resources for, stopping all crime within their bailiwick. The two other boards were shut down for a few reasons:

1) complaints by parents of minor children being involved with predecessor boards
2) ongoing interaction between those board administrators and earlier boards
3) charging of admission
4) cross-border activity

Other than the first point, which occurred in 2007, had a lower profile been maintained and a bit more discretion on the PART OF EVERYONE, I don't think we'd be having this discussion.

In short, this is the result of hubris. Auctions, arrogance...whatever...it wasn't a single thing, but each played a role. Disgruntled ladies turning into informants (don't think THAT won't bite them in the ass-the accused have the right to confront their accuser, and so the anonymity they enjoy in the affidavit will disappear), pimps turning into informants in order to plea down in prior arrests, and just otherwise blatant behavior by people thinking that having a screenname offered sufficient protection. PAYPAL? Nothing like creating an electronic document trail...couple that with auctioned panties...just brilliant. Does anybody still think that the DDOS attacks were by Peeping? Talk about a great way to force the 3 into a public meeting, monitored and recorded.

Anyway, people will find this board, but as an earlier post mentioned, if you are a US citizen the long-arm statutes do apply to your activity regardless of where you are, so be smart and safe, and try to be discreet in your private life. If you tell people, I suggest you make sure they aren't minors, and that they aren't the types who foolishly cave under pressure.

So seaching through the michigan section of adultmb several people mention this site is safer because it is hosted in canada and we are all safe. I have been on the boards since dial up. I was hear a lot with the Canadian girls before 9/11. After it was to hard to get through customs and the bridge was under construction for a while too.
