I am neither American or European. I can honestly say that being in the middle of the two that it is usually the Europeans I hear bad talking the Americans and not the other way around. I have done extensive travelling around the world and have met many people from all over the world. Some good and some bad. But in general the Americans dont give a shite about what others think and to crack it up to an inferiority complex could be very true.
Why do many baseball fans hate the Yankees? Why do many soccer fans hate Man U, Arsenal? etc.
Whether people want to admit it or not, you are always jealous of number 1. That is just what part of being a human is about. We are always jealous of the ones with a better car, job, hotter wife etc.
No need to go bashing each other though. We are all BM and mates at that.

my boys are a dynasty, they win again. they didnt cover and i lost a shitload of money but i dont care, as long as they won and went to a great party in boston, so had a great time. its amazing, all their sueforum.xxxowls have been great games.

if you read back i never once brought up where anyone was from in this argument from the sueforum.xxxowl, but you were the one who brought up "the american" which i hear countless times. i never give a shit where anyone is from. do i tend to like people a little better from different places than others, yes, but youd never hear me say that or even have a bias against them until i meet them. like you, i have no idea where your from, but i know id have no desire talkinging to you if i ever met up with you at MTB. you seem like a total asshole!

Well I had to record most of it last night, I seen it up until the point the eagles got the first touchdown about 10mins in the second quarter, But I work nights so I had to record the rest.

Anyway I have watched it all now and I have to admit I actually enjoyed it after I picked up how the game works, Which was not very hard because its really just buffed up guys in a shit load of padding playing a modified rugby

But seriously I didnt think I was going to like it but I actually do and I will try and watch it a bit more in the future, If only to get its ratings up close to the real "Football" Sorry couldnt help it

its just like anything else, you have to get use to it, learn the rules to appreciate it. im not a huge fan of soccer but by being over in thailand alot where its on 3 or 3 channels all the time, im starting to appreciate a little more, but, like you with american football, i dont understand everything. also, soccer for us, is alot like baseball for you guys. since there is not alot of scoring, it tends to be boring for someone that doesnt know the little things about the games, or the storylines about players, teams, and things like that. but i defintely found myself pausing a little longer on socc3r matches than i have in the past

I have no real issue with you, but if you read the thread again you will see that it was in fact you that that started giving out the information about the sueforum.xxxowl having the largest TV audience, it was you that started talking about europeans having inferiority complexes and it was you that started with the abuse. If you don't believe me then when you have calmed down, just read the thread again.

As for your threats about "meeting" me at the MTB bar, I have no problem with that, I walk this earth scared of no man, but I would prefer to have fun when I am on holiday, but if you want to fight, then I will not run away.

What is a shame, is that I read your postings about your "girlfriend problems" thinking that you were just a lad having fun in LOS, but it now appears not to be the case and that you are selfish in that you only think about yourself and expect to be able to push others around. Unfortunately, without having met you, I cannot confirm this and I feel sure that others from this board who have will say that this is not the case. So why do you get so excitable about something that is written on this forum, so much so that you start to post threats and abuse ??

Perhaps not being in LOS and the situation you have described with your girlfriends is the cause ?? Whatever it is, is it really worth all this ranting and raving ??

as you instructed, i did go back and read all the quotes, and this i sthe quote that started the anomosity. not once before this did i talk bad oe degrade anyone in their thoughts or their country of origin. you were the one who mentioned "the american, and other things". if you look at the discussion, there were so many interpertations of what was the most viewed sporting event,yearly event, total event, that there was really never a clear answer but you felt the need to bring in my country into this debate and how it was an amazingly stupid statement so i honestly believe that it is you who started all this and i have no need to relax and even think pf an apology. ive met almost all the regulars on this board personally and have had extensive correspondence with others that i have not met on this forum, so ill let my reputation speak for itself and let this die. its a waste of mine and your time

This thread certainly has emerged into something that it was not intended to be. From where can I watch the super bowl to television ratings and now about the US vs the world. It is an interesting topic of discussion. I for one can understand where marc is coming from. I have been witness to a lot of derogatory comments made about americans during my travels. I would think that marc is tired of hearing this sort of thing. Just as any Brit would be tired of hearing the term hooligan about them. The fact is there are good and bad people from all countries and walks of life. Best not to let the careless remarks of one individual bother you marc.

Anyways, I am glad that some of you guys have gained a new respect for the game of American football. You are right when you say it is like a game of rugby with bigger guys and more padding. It is a tough game to play, but I for one would never want to give the rugby a go. That sport is crazy!!! A lot of respect for those guys.
I too never really muched cared for the *real* football. But after being here in Japan for the world cup I really began to enjoy it. Was in Pusan Seoul for the quarterfinal when Seoul played Italy. Seeing 100,000 people outside of the train station watching a game on the big screen was awesome. There was a million people watching the game in Seoul outside.
That is the great thing about traveling and meeting new people. You can learn a lot about others cultures, sports etc.
I still dont get that damn cricket though!!
