Exactley what I thought and I spoke to a few more girls about it after wooders and his girl told me and they also said that.. but it doesn't just seem to be the go gos. Girl I took from soi Eric had to pay mamasan 500 if she didn't go home because all girls from the bar stayed in same block. Makes me feel very sorry for the girls and didn't take any girls from the named go gios after, although that doesn't exactly help them.

My friend and I just got back from a week in Thailand, including two nights in Patong. After having read this thread, we went to Suzie Wong's as our first destination. I had had the impression that it was pretty much the best, and last time I hit Patong (the only time I've ever been there), I didn't even know it was a p4p area until I got there, so I went in a little fresh (still had a great time though). So we wanted to see what the best was before hitting some other places, so as to know what kind of options were out there.

Suzie Wong's was great - hot chicks, cold air, and I liked a lot of the music. A couple of girls sat with us, but the two girls who sat with us weren't right, and so my buddy and I left. We ended up at a beer bar later. One girl sat with my buddy, but I called over another one who I thought was real cute, even though I hadn't been getting that 'vibe' from her. She sat with me, and we played some games, and in the end my friend and I barfined these girls and took them back to our room.

My friend had a great time with his girl, and I had a boring time with mine. She was hot - but that was about where it ended. Not fun, boring in bed, and half way through she started getting calls from her 'brother'. I finished up then walked with her out to the street where her 'brother' picked her up on his bike, and I went and got a massage.

Hold with me, this does end up being about Suzie Wong's.

Talking with my buddy the next day, we figured that the reason I ended with such a dud is because I called her over, instead of waiting for her to express interest. A girl who takes the time to come over and have fun is most likely at least willing to have fun with her when you go home. Maybe not, but the odds go up we figured.

The next night, we decided to try out Devil's Playground first off. So we sat down, and sure enough almost right away a couple of girls came up and sat with us, and the girl I was talking to turned out to be more my type. We were getting along and having fun, so I told my buddy I was going to barfine her. He said he wasn't interested in his girl, but we figured that if we could get mine to take us somewhere where she had a friend he could barfine, it could turn into a fun night. We were staying in a 160m2 room with 2 bedrooms, a living room, and a huge deck, so we wanted to hang out and have a good time first. So after I barfined my girl, we went outside, and asked if she had a friend working somewhere.

Now we get to Suzie Wong's. My girl said her friend was working there, so we headed back to Suzie Wong's, and she got the friend to come over. Her friend was wild. By her comments (which I take with a grain of salt), she was more like a mamasan at the SW and doesn't go with guys so often. I don't know if it's true, but regardless, getting the friend was definitely the right move to make. After buying a couple of drinks for a few of the girls there, my friend paid the barfine, and we headed out to the taxi. The good thing was that the girls were already friends, so they were able to loosen up and we had a really good time drinking back at our apartment. My friend said this girl had been awesome, and that he was really glad that we ended up with her.

I don't know how typical (or not) this story is, but I do have to say that Suzie Wong's seems like one of the better bars to me. They definitely have the quality looking girls, and the atmosphere is fun and upbeat. I didn't get to meet Raw there, but I wasn't really looking to either I will most likely head back there if/when I get back to Patong in the future.

I was downloading some Jacob Miller stuff the other day and came across the track: "Suzy Wong" for the first time in ages (YouTube - Jacob Miller - Suzy Wong).

Got me thinking about the origin of the name and found the book "The World of Suzie Wong" a 1957 novel written by Richard Mason which has also been made into a movie and musical. None of which I have seen or read.

Is the book the origin of the name or does the book take the name from somewhere else?

She also makes boxing shorts (Suzi Wong Online Store) so she obviously gets about a bit.

I was just adding that one girl I knew from a bar in Eric had to pay mamasan if she didn't go home and hadn't had her barfined from bar.

I believed what the girls told me.. one girl in exotica seemed surpised that I knew about it after I said to her if she wanted to meet me after go go closed as it closed in less than 20 minutes.. she said no pay bar fine.. so I asked about the 500 to mamasan and she seemed suprised I knew about it but confirmed it.
