The Comphy Company Table Drapes

I was wondering if any of you use table drapes, covers, etc. from The Comphy Company, http://www.comphy.com.  Their designs are very spa-ish and their prices are affordable, around $23.00 plus shipping for a 2 in one cover.  They wash and dry well and look lush on the massage table.  Just curious, thank you.lecontefairy

Thanks for the link. آ Maybe it's just me, but the balck and white drawings with all of the info below, don't really help me decide which one I would actually prefer to purchase.It would have helped if they had some comparisons or a few pics of each type they offer, side by side.I have been looking for some really nice sheets for my tables, but thread count is something I am interested in as well, and I am not finding which sheet would be best for my use by looking at the siteYou say they wash and dry well.  Have you purchased these? آ If so, which ones did you buy and how did they work for you?  I am interested in fitted and flat sheets.  Any input on why I would want one as opposed to the other would be greatly appreciated!Thanks! آ

I agree with you, the black and white photos do make it more difficult.  I called and they sent me an info packet with swatches of the colors of blankets they had.  I have not ordered their sheets, only the cover, table skirt and saddle.  If you call, ask for Kathy, she is very helpful and can tell you the thread count I am guessing.  Otherwise, I have the info. packet at my office and I will look to see if thread count is listed and get back to you tomorrow.  I hope this helps.lecontefairy

I'm actually not sure they would have a thread count - it looks like their sheets are either micro-fibre or terry cloth.  Thread count normally only applies to sheet like material, not terry cloth or micro-fibre, so any thread count may not be really very meaningful anyway.Can I be really stupid and ask what the saddle is for? Is it just decorative, or is it used for something?

Not a stupid question, I asked this myself.  The saddle is decorative and useful.  I use mine to add an extra cover to a client's feet if they are cold.  Other-wise, after the client is on the table I put the saddle on a stand to the side.You are probably correct about the sheets.  lecontefairy

I posted this somewhere else too...I have linens from the Comphy Company and they are awesome!  Tons of clients have commented on how soft they are and they are absolutely beautiful.  Price wise I don't think they are outrageous either considering they hold up very well in terms of fabric quiality, softness and color.  However, the linens say they are treated for oil release but I have found that I have oil stains even though I wash same day in hot water with bleach alternative Tide and Oxyclean and I pretreat directly after each massage with spray and wash. Also, be prepared for pretty poor customer service.  It seems the show is run by one owner and a secretary of sorts who doesn't have email?!  I have had 4 different orders with them and every one has had a problem of some kind and they are not great with communicating what's going on. With all that said though - its worth the headache for the great product.

An update on Comphy

I've been using Comphy sheets for about 6 months now and I too love them. I've noticed they changed "treated for oil release" to "treated for Soil release" ... I have stains on mine too, but only the ones that sat for a couple days before washing. I use Citrasolv as a spot treatment and it seems to make a difference IF I treat the sheets immediately on the table and then wash them pronto. Sadly, we haven't gotten our washer/dryer installed (discovered after they were delivered that the room they'll go in has too small a door to fit them through, so it involves tearing down part of a wall...) so I'm still stuck with the laundromat, which means I can't always wash sheets right away.

I too have had some problems with Comphy customer service, but they always made good in the end. Seems their staff has grown a little, there are now at least 4 people that I've talked with, who knows how many more behind the scenes. I too think their sheets are worth any snafus, they are so luxurious!

I'm curious what you use from them to set up your table. While the 2 in 1 top sheet/blanket thing looks nice, it seems like a lot to launder. I normally fit two sets of sheets in a wash and I don't know if I'd be able to with them. I'm thinking I might use a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and then the blanket. Do you have one of their blankets and what do you think? Also, the big towel looks nice for top blanket.

Oh, and their eye pillow things look very nice too!

I've used Comphy's fitted and flat sheets, pillowcases (for side-lying clients) and the micro-satin/terry-velour throw as a blanket. I don't have experience with any of their other products, sorry! One of the therapists that I see uses these sheets and I agree with Westin Hotels...these sheets are heavenly! She has been using hers for over 6 months and they are still holding up very well.

Doh! What I called the blanket above IS the two-in-one client cover. Sorry 'bout that, I got confused. So to answer Shivashiva's question, I do like it. It's not too heavy (not like a comforter or anything), still fairly thin. I think it would be like adding another set of sheets to your laundry.

BTW, I usually dry Comphy items using the permanent press setting. I recall reading somewhere this is preferred, but I can't find my original source. Also, the sheets dry in 1/3 the time of other fabrics, so check your sheets much earlier than normal. And fabric softeners are not recommended. Is anyone able to compare the wear of these sheets vs. the flannel massage warehouse sheets? I bought some flannel sheets less than a year ago, and they are already starting to fray, and started pilling within 2 months of use.

How does comphy hold up??

I've only been using them 6 months, but they seem to be quite durable. Microfiber is a strong fabric and the construction is good (no pilling or unraveling seams). They are manufactured for spas after all, so heavy use is expected.
