Water fountain in treatment room?

I used to have one of those misting fountains in my tx room, I'd put essential oils in it. every single client loved it... but alas, I forgot to clean it out when I went on maternity leave and when I came back it no longer worked. I really should buy another one...

In response to the original question as to why a fountain should be used, it is part of "Feng Shui." (pronounced Fung Shway for the un-initiated) Feng Shui specialists advocate having elements of water, earth (stones) wood (plants) air and metal. We all have air in our practice areas, or we wouldn't last long. : We have wood in our tables and other furniture, as well as in the construction of the walls. A bamboo plant is also nice for this purpose. I have a metal sculpture on one of my walls, and there are stones in the fountain, so I have all the elements covered.

I didn't give much thought to the fountain triggering washroom requirements but will keep that in mind.

In school we were just told to turn off the fountain if a pregnant woman was on the table. They are usually the only ones triggered by the sound of trickling water :

I have tried two different fountains in my treatment room and with both, the motor for the pump was louder than the water flowing. Maybe I've just had cheap fountains? One I returned to Walmart because it was so awful, the other my mom sent me. In the future I hope to invest in a really nice one. Anyone have comments on the noise of the pump or have some very quiet pump fountain recommendations?

Maybe you didn't have enough water in the fountain?
I just bought a cheapie one from Target, and it had a little blurb about troubleshooting regarding the noise of the motor. They said that you really needed to add water every day due to losing some with evaporation and splashing.
