Wider family, the village and even beyond that make sure know one goes hungry. Some people may not have much but you can be rest assured food is plentiful and if they dont grow it themselves then it is very cheap indeed

small example - som tam phuket 30 baht - will feed about 2-3 people, som tam isaan 10 baht for same, same prices for noodle soup
A large family in Isaan can live on 150 baht per day for food

Must agree have seen much worse rooms! Some live in small bare crowded cubicle(2x3 m) closets built of corrugated metal and wooden planks, no bed, no mattress,just a blanket on the floor, no windows, shared bathrooms outside, not to speak of millions of mosquitos and roaches! One girl I visited had a flood in the room everytime it rained and she didn't even have a bed!
Thing is, even if you pay them more they will still keep these rooms, and instead send the money back home to their babies or drunken fathers! In many cases their real homes look the same or even worse than the rooms they hire in Patong! Up to you how much you will give her, but 1000 baht for LT is already more money than they will ever get from a normal job in Thailand, without higher education! Hard work in a factory for 10-12 hours a day will still not give them much more than 5-6000 baht a month! mg:

WOW!!!!!!!! after what i gave that girl those babies probably got fat!!! lol lol thats ok, its better for them so no regrets. i gave paid the bar fine for a bunch of my friends at blue star because they said they were "sore" from too many men ( i didnt see any at night so they must have had them during "day shift" ???) well anyways, they said they needed break because their little whoo-hoos (bare with me) were sore so i paid for them to leave so we could go to tai pan and tiger and they didnt have to work......was i scammed?????

Exactly...There is absolutely nothing wrong with generosity but in my opinion you can find a lot more cases who may be even more deserving. I mean what about the 'poor' 7/11 girl that has to live on 4 - 5k per month to NOT sell her body ?? What kind of room does she live in if she decides she does not want to go with customers ?? Not all Bgs are so poor.
First FL I went with had a new car and owned a house in Phuket Town.
Another FL I was with lived in a house she rented near BKK. Not bad at all.

Last week I went to look at a house my friend is buying here for $570,000. Not as nice as the FL's house in BKK. The rooms looked much worse than the one in the picture. There is no toilet in the bathroom on the main floor, you have to go down to the basement to use a toilet. There is no furnace, just a stove to burn wood in, andthe electricity does not work in most of the house. There are 4 people living there now. And I live in one of the richest area in the whole world. Even here there are many living in poverty.

In LOS, conditions that you may regard as terrible and depressing, may not seem bad at all to the girls. They do not come from homes of middle class comfort. They grow up with sleeping several people in a bed. This is not something new to them.

I grew up in a small but comfortable middle class home in America. But after my Dad threw me out when I was 21, sometimes I lived in places that were worse than the room in the picture, places where when the wind blowed hard outside, you could feel in coming through the walls. In cities where the temperature dropped below freezing in the winter.

Nobody gave me any money or felt sorry for me, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Life is about how you feel, not what you have. And on that level, many poor people in LOS and other places have more than many of us!

So the reason I try to stick to the 1000 Baht rule(although I am easily talked up to 1200 because I figure there is inflation, after all), is not because to save 500 or 1000 Baht, but because the more money you pay, the more it is about the money. I know the girls are prostitutes and come with us only for the money in most cases, but if a girl, nevertheless, can enjoy my company, and the way I treat her, and likes me a bit, then she can show it by being easy on the price, i.e., go for 1000 Baht. If she wants much more than that, then the relationship is more likely to be cash for sex, wuid pro quo, and that is too cold for me.

But the bottom line is pay what you like! It's your money! I'll do what I like, you do what you like. I don't tell anyone else what he should pay!

Pay what you want to - But limit it to 2,000 baht max BG/FL and 3,000 baht Agogo TG so you don't ruin the market.

I have often paid a gril 2,000 baht a night when she was having a period just because I liked having her around - She made me happy and she also knows how to clean pipes as well

BTW base price is 1000 baht but it is really up to you and the TG to negotiate.

agree 100% most start at 2000baht mostly can get them to 1000baht but personally if I really like a BG will pay 1500baht or whatever.

listen, not to sound rude, but where these girls choose to live, or how they choose to live is indictive to the type of person they are. my 2 girls, although do make towards the high end for bg's and massage girls, have absolute beautiful rooms. and i have seen girls in the same building who have the same room but just dont make it nice and beautiful or keep it clean like these girls. just the little things that these 2 girls do to make their rooms look nice dont cost much. plus the fact that they are very clean. just liie anywhere around the world, there are very clean people who keep their hous nice and messy people
