i think people run into the higher quotes because they may act to fast before they form a rapport with the girls. my usual mode is go to MTB or The Darkside to talk to nicke,geir and a few guys. i get a little juiced and head to g's lovebar and things start getting a little more wild. then i usually go to a disco and kinda trat it like i do when i am home and look to see a girl interested in me. now i know that money will be exchanged but almost every single time i have never discussed money and judt give them 1000-1500 the next morning, and more times than not, when ive given them 1500, they seem very happy and a little suprised so i assume 1000 would have been fine. im not saying that i know all, but my biggest peice of advice is to look for a girl that likes you and hang out for awhile before discussing anything about going home with you or money. and being around phuket enough, there are plenty of girls that are looking for a guy they like, even if its just one night, than looking at your wallet. at my old girls bar in phuket, she is 22 and her friend 21, both working for about 1 1/2 years and it seems like they are burnt out already and only really going with guys they find attractive or nice over guys paying more

I dated a TG in Chiang Mai on both my first tour and second tour. She worked 6 days a week(plus 2 hours on Sunday) as an accountant, for which job she had a college degree from U. Of Chiang Mai and she got paid 4500 Baht per month. She also had a second job as a singer in a band, and worked that job 7 days a week from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM for 5000 Baht per month.

When you consider what hard-working honest girls, even ones with college degrees, make, then I think that it is crazy that someone should make as much in one night which some guys would pay. Even at 1000 Baht a night, plus cut of bar fine, commission from drinks sold, free food and entertainment, the occasional gift, they are doing very well, and we should not forget this!! Why ruin a good thing for us? In the long run, I don't think that it is really that much better for them to get spoiled and want the money too much!

Some friends let their girlfriend come to Belgium. First stop is a Thai/Asian foodmarket where they buy everything to prepare Thai food at home. Besides, you think a Thai in Europe eats the local food? "I don't eat beef", I don't like potatoes" "I don't like..." Isan food better, "I like rice and curry", not to mention Papaya pokpok.
So mostly it will end in eating at home or Thai restaurant.

I've personally lived in rooms worse than the one Hunter posted when I was younger it's not that bad, my friend is doing up a house at the moment and his room is worse than that.

As far as the 1000bht rule pay what you like but why pay over the market if you don't have to. Select a girl who wants to go with you because she likes you and you will have a much better time don't talk money just slip 1000bht note under her phone or purse in the morning not one has ever complained or told me not enough money.

Take your time to find the right girl there is no shame in going home alone go out to have a good time and the girl's will follow, after all you are hansum man.

So, you can see how much better it is in Los and the Philippines. An extra 500 baht is $13 US. I think the girls that I have been with really like a tip as compared to a higher negotiated rate and that is hopefully a way to get a better perfomance out of some of them. They seem to be happier after I give them 1500 baht which includes 500 baht tip then just getting 1500 baht and no tip.

Its funny but I seem to have created a similair situation. One girl I was seeing before, I never paid her, its not that I diddnt offer but she just flatly refused, but she knows Im her safety net and whenever she has a problem I can help her with it (not necessarily financial) I seem to have created a wider family with her friends from time to time approaching me for small loans usually about 500-2000 baht. Go up north if you want to find out about more basic living conditions, but to me its just a state of mind created by the material west, this is a place to live outdoors no cooked up in your luxury villa or apartment

After all these discussions I think you have concluded it's a market place. In the perfect market everyone has all information and there is just one price for one commodity. The problem here is that the thing you buy doesn't appeal to everybody in the same manner. Thus it seams to be a pricerange 1000 til 3000. Let your wallet and your sense agree upon what you decide.

Hey, where are these BG's for 1000 Baht for a night. In Patong I paid 1500-2000 and thought it good value for money. After all in UK you wouldn't get half an hour for that. Pattaya tends to be cheaper, 1200-1500.
How much you pay is a question of how you feel, both you and the girl can say no. The main thing is have a good time, after all 500 Baht a night for 2 weeks is only an extra £100 on your holiday.
